Andy's POV

The next morning, Andy wakes up earlier than normal. He glances at his phone and sees a text. Seeing the text was from Blaine, he quickly opens the message.

Blaine: "Hey, dude could you pick me up? I have to head to my girlfriend's house."

Andy: "I don't think I can. I have to go to Carl's house."

Blaine: "Damn. Okay thanks man."

Andy regretfully rolls over and gets out of bed. He quickly gets changed, making sure that his boots aren't looking too bad. Andy can already tell today is going to be a long day.

"Andy, it's time to get- oh, you're already up. Are you okay?" his mother says as she appears in his doorway.

"Yeah mom I'm fine. Is breakfast ready?"

"It's cooking. Give it ten minutes. I made cinnamon rolls with bacon."

"That sounds good."

"Okay, well, I better head back in there." She smiles nicely and then swiftly disappears. Andy opens his phone and scrolls through TikTok waiting for breakfast to be done. As he is scrolling, he receives a snap from Carl.

Carl: "Why did you tell Blaine you were here? He's looking for you."

Andy: "Shit. Could you just tell him I just left or somethin'?"

Carl: "What's going on?"

Andy: "Nothin' just need a break. Got a problem?"

Carl: "Nah man, but it's too late. I told him you were probably at your house. I think he's on his way over."

Andy: "How the fuck is he getting here?"

Carl: "I don't know."

Andy quickly hops up, grabbing his bag and heading out the door when his mom calls, "You better not be leaving before you eat. Get back in here." Andy reluctantly goes to the kitchen. "Since you're in such a hurry, I put them in this container. Just bring it back and be very careful while driving. I don't want you to wreck." Andy simply nods and dashes out to his car. He has to make it out before Blaine gets here.

As Andy is driving, he receives a call. He answers without looking at the caller ID.

"Yo, it's Andy. Who is this?"

"It's Blaine. Did you not see my contact name?" Andy's heart quickens, but he stays calm.

"No, I'm driving, don't wanna crash. What's up?"

"Are you okay? You have been acting really weird."

"What?"

"First the whole bathroom thing. Which was really weird and then the way you were in the car. And now you're avoiding me."

"No, I'm not. I'm just busy."

"Then why did you say you were at Carl's?"

"I said I had to go there. I didn't say I was there yet. Do you not listen?"

"You're being extra bitchy today."

"No, I'm just trying to clear up what you clearly didn't hear."

"I am listening. Maybe you should be more clear."

"I'm busy. You're going to have to call me later. I need to focus." Andy quickly hangs up and tosses his phone into the passenger seat. Why can't Blaine just stop? Andy pulls onto the highway and drives. Once he comes up to the school, he debates pulling in but decides against it. He drives through the country instead. Andy decides he won't go to school till he can cool down. His phone goes off, so he grabs it without letting his eyes leave the road. It's Carl.

"Dude, where are you? School starts in 10 minutes."

"I'll be there."

"You better. Your mom will kill you if you ditch. Blaine is here. If you don't get here soon, he's gonna blow up your phone."

"Fine, I'll be there in 10. Calm your tits." Carl hangs up and Andy does a U turn. As Andy is driving back, he gets a text from someone, so he reaches over to grab his phone and this time his eyes leave the road for a split second. But that's plenty of time. He hits something on the road, sending his truck haywire. Fear washes over him as he tries to regain control, but fails. His truck does several somersaults across a field. His body getting knocked into every metal that is in the truck.

Then it all goes black.

Blaine's POV

Blaine is waiting near the front entrance of the school. Andy was supposed to be here almost 10 minutes ago. Carl walks up to Blaine and gives him a concerned look. "Where the hell is he, Carl?"

"Bro, calm down. He'll be here soon. We're already late for our first class."

"Screw our first class. I'm not going in there until Andy shows up."

"Whatever, dude." Carl lightly hits Blaine's shoulder as he walks into the building.

Where is he? Where the fuck is he? Blaine thinks to himself as he impatiently waits to see Andy's truck pulling into the school's parking lot.

Blaine's waiting thirty minutes before he hears the door to the school open behind him. He turns his head to see the principal standing in the doorway. "Blaine, you need to get to class. Clearly, your friend isn't coming today. You can talk to him after school." Blaine nods and hesitantly walks into the building, giving one last glance to the road.

As Blaine is sitting in class, he hears sirens creep closer. This immediately sparks fear in him, but he doesn't dwell on the feeling. He just turns around and starts talking to Nikolas.

"Yo, have you heard from Andy?"

"No. Is he not here?"

"No. He must have ditched. Thanks though."

Once the bell rings, Blaine escapes his class. Grabbing his backpack, he hurries out of the classroom and down to the main office. "Have you found out why Andy isn't here?" He worriedly asked the principal.

"No, Blaine, we haven't. As I told you before, don't worry about it." Blaine didn't want to hear anymore of what he had to say and decided to just run out of the building.

Standing at the edge of the parking lot, he tried to call Andy. He could hear the phone ringing, but there was no answer. He tried again... no answer. A third time... no answer. He was going to try a fourth time when he decided it was pointless. Instead, he ran all the way home.

The second he burst through the door, he threw his bag on the floor and yelled for his mom, "Mom! Mom!"

She came rushing out of the living room. "What is it, Blaine? Why are you home from school? How did you get home?"

"That's not important. I need you to take me to Andy's house."

"Blaine, I don't think that's a good idea."

"Why?" Blaine gave his mother a confused look.

"Andy was in an accident this morning." Blaine's eyes grew wide as he slowly backed toward the front door.

"What?" was all he could utter.
