Los ahora Príncipe y Princesa de Wales junto a su primogénita, la Princesa Eleanor de Wales, han visitado Sandringham para ver las ofrendas florales que se dejaron allí tras la muerte de Su Majestad a los 96 años el 8 de septiembre, además de saludar a los simpatizantes reunidos a las puertas de la residencia de la Reina en Norfolk.
La finca real de Sandringham, en Norfolk, era uno de los retiros rurales favoritos de la difunta. También es un lugar que tiene un significado especial para el Príncipe William y Kate, ya que su propia casa de campo, Anmer Hall, pertenece a la finca. In the days since the Queen's death, the British Royal Family has had to process their grief in a very public forum, as well as adapt to some major changes in their roles under the reign of Charles III. Prince William, who was granted his father's former title during the King's first televised address last week, is coming to terms with his responsibilities as heir apparent, and conducted his first solo engagement with his wife and daughter today.
The now Prince and Princess of Wales, along with their firstborn, Princess Eleanor of Wales, have visited Sandringham to view the wreaths left there following Her Majesty's death at the age of 96 on September 8, as well as greeting well-wishers gathered outside the Queen's Norfolk residence.
The royal estate of Sandringham in Norfolk was one of the late Queen's favorite rural retreats. It is also a place that holds special significance for Prince William and Kate, as their own country home, Anmer Hall, belongs to the estate. The couple and their four children have spent many happy times there, including with the heir's beloved grandmother.
Last weekend, the couple joined Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to view the floral tributes at Windsor Castle, before William walked alongside his brother and father during the Queen's coffin procession from Buckingham Palace to Westminster. His wife and firstborn joined him at the service to receive Her Majesty's coffin at Westminster Hall, where it will remain until the day of the funeral, Monday, Sept. 19.
