14 CURIOSIDADES DE LA PRINCESA ELEANOR

Con motivo a su décimo cuarto cumpleaños, hemos preparado 14 curiosidades de la nieta del Rey.

1. Fue la primera bisnieta de la fallecida Reina Elizabeth II y es la primera nieta del Rey Charles III.

2. Fue la primera bebé real en la historia que desde nacimiento obtuvo títulos reales y un espacio en la línea sucesora al trono pese a no haber nacido dentro de un matrimonio.

3. Su nacimiento supuso la segunda vez en la historia que cuatro generaciones de monarcas en la línea natural de sucesión al trono británico estaban vivas al mismo tiempo. Sucedió antes entre 1894 y 1901.

4. Según la Princesa de Wales, la futura Reina llamaba a su bisabuela "Gan Gan". De hecho, fue su abuelo, el Príncipe Charles, quien inventó el apodo. Ya que él llamaba a su bisabuela de esa manera al igual que el Príncipe William y Harry llamaban a la suya.

5. El Príncipe William y Kate Middleton le han estado explicando a Eleanor desde pequeña y a través de cuentos, cuál sería su futuro dentro de la Familia Real, esto para evitar que se entere en el colegio y a través de amigos. Según el experto de la realeza, Robert Hardman, a los 5 años un compañero de clases de Eleanor le preguntó el por qué ella salía en las revistas que leía su abuela, en lo que la heredera respondió con mucha naturalidad que era porque su bisabuela era la Reina y que su abuelo era un príncipe.

6. En casa la llaman Ellie. Fue la propia Princesa de Wales la que lo reveló durante un acto oficial.

7. Le encanta los animales, de pequeña decía que cuando sea mayor sería veterinaria.

8. Tiene muchos primos pero los más cercanos a ella son: James, Vizconde Severn (hijo del Conde de Wessex) y Lady Mackenzie Armstrong-Jones (hija del Conde de Snowdon).

9. Su plato favorito es la pasta a la carbonara.

10. Es amante de los deportes, práctica la equitación, esquí, tenis, voleibol y Hockey sobre césped.

11. Le fascina la música, sabe tocar el piano, violín y guitarra. Personas cercanas a ella han dicho que también canta.

12. Desde pequeña sus padres la han alentado a que aprenda diferentes idiomas, a parte del inglés (lengua materna) habla el español (gracias a su niñera Maria Turrión), francés, italiano, galés y está aprendiendo el chino.

13. A Eleanor le costó adaptarse a su nuevo colegio "Le Rosey" ya que se encontraba lejos de casa. Pero en la actualidad ama su nueva independencia. Aunque cuando llega a casa le gusta estar rodeada de su familia y amigos.

14. La personalidad de Eleanor se describe como estudiosa, espontánea, educada, y al parecer es tranquila, al menos lo que se ha podido ver frente las cámaras (porque el Príncipe de Wales reveló que siempre ha sido bastante traviesa), y es una hermana mayor bastante paciente.

14 PRINCESS ELEANOR'S CURIOSITIES

On the occasion of her fourteenth birthday, we have prepared 14 curiosities about the King's granddaughter.

1. She was the first great-granddaughter of the late Queen Elizabeth II and is the first granddaughter of King Charles III.

2. She was the first royal baby in history to be given royal titles at birth and a place on the line of succession to the throne despite not being born in wedlock.

3. Her birth marked only the second time in history that four generations of monarchs in the natural line of succession to the British throne were alive at the same time. It happened before between 1894 and 1901.

4. According to the Princess of Wales, the future Queen called her great-grandmother "Gan Gan". In fact, it was her grandfather, Prince Charles, who invented the nickname. He called his great-grandmother by that name just as Prince William and Harry called theirs.

5. Prince William and Kate Middleton have been explaining to Eleanor since she was a little girl, through stories, what her future in the Royal Family would be, in order to prevent her from finding out at school and from friends. According to royal expert Robert Hardman, at the age of 5, a classmate of Eleanor's asked her, why she was in the magazines that her grandmother read, to which the heiress replied very naturally that it was because her great-grandmother was the Queen and that her grandfather was a prince.

6. At home they call her Ellie. It was the Princess of Wales herself who revealed this during an official act.

7. She loves animals, when she was little she used to say that when she grew up she would be a vet.

8. She has many cousins but the closest to her are: James, Viscount Severn (son of the Earl of Wessex) and Lady Mackenzie Armstrong-Jones (daughter of the Earl of Snowdon).

9. Her favourite dish is pasta carbonara.

10. She is a sports lover, she practises horse riding, skiing, tennis, volleyball and hockey.

11. She is fascinated by music, she can play the piano, violin and guitar. People close to her have said that she also sings.

12. Since she was a child her parents have encouraged her to learn different languages, apart from English (mother tongue) she speaks Spanish (thanks to her nanny Maria Turrión), French, Italian, Welsh and she is learning Chinese.

13. Eleanor found it difficult to adapt to her new school "Le Rosey" as she was far from home. But now she loves her new independence. Although when she comes home she likes to be surrounded by her family and friends.

14. Eleanor's personality is described as studious, spontaneous, polite, and apparently quiet, at least as far as we have seen on camera (because the Prince of Wales revealed that she has always been quite naughty), and she is a patient big sister.
