"Kaiden...what?!" Garrus said in disbelief of the fact that yes. He did lose a friend to this. The thing he has been dreading the most.Losing Shepard on Earth was hard enough, knowing someone was actually dead made him want to just grab a shuttle to Earth and toss the reapers back into dark space right now. If only he could... "What do you mean, how... how could...?!" Garrus stopped himself in mid sentence. He was about to pitch the blame upon someone, he is better than that. He knew it was childish and pathetic that he could even think of such a thing. The turian breathed, hanging his head shamefully. A hand coming to his forehead. Kaiden was a good soldier,a good friend. Even if he didn't join up with Shepard those two long years ago... he was still one of Garrus's most trusted allies.
Back when it was just Garrus, Tali, Wrex, Liara, Ashley, and Kaiden...back when Saren was the biggest threat they faced at the time; Garrus had made connections with each and every member of that crew. EvenAshley (who seemed to always compare Garrus to the birds on the Citadel). However Kaiden ironically came to Garrus and treated him like a wing man. Meaning one thing of course: Kaiden came to Garrus for help, advice, and suggestions for dating the Commander.
Unfortunately for him, it seemed Shepard was rather interested in her own kind and quite obviously preferred the arms of another... alien arms in fact seemed the most comforting. Even so, Garrus and Kaiden had eachothers backs in the field. Never faltering for one another and never going a stray. Between Shepard and Garrus's sniping and his biotics;there was never any stopping that trio.
"It's strange." Garrus heard Joker begin. "To think out of all people to be careless. Can win 'em all I suppose." It seems Joker never ceased to piss the turian off in this situation. "He wasn't... CARELESS. He was protecting those he cared for." Garrus hissed. Jeff lifted his hands up and turned his chair back to the console.
Garrus stood up, but he almost fell due to his leg. "Garrus!" Tali grabbed the turian, allowing him to have more stability. "I'm alright, I'm alright." He grabbed her hood, pretending to use it as leverage when he was truly bringing her closer so he could whisper.
"Let's go."

Javik and James entered the room, Javik had a gun raised. James was warily limping round. "Hopefully I won't bleed out by the time we go back?Erk, heh... eh heffa?" Javik practically ignored every word."Quite, human."
"What--?!"Javik glared at James and put a finger to his lips. "That is the signal of shutting up in this cycle. SO DO SO." James huffed and continued to look around.
"We got blood." James called out, lifting a large crate with the thick red covering the bottom. He lifted it more to find a forearm underneath, it was practically mushed. "Looks darker skinned, must be Diana. Damn" Suddenly they heard coughing from the corner of the room. It was covered with ship pieces and debris. Not a soul in plain sight. Bwamp! Javik's biotics lifted all the debris up into the air, revealing a broken Doctor Karin Chakwas.
"Holy shit..." Karin was covered in blood. In her arms was a dead woman, it was Diana Allers. "I tried to..." She coughed up some blood as she spoke, "... save her..."
"James human, pick her up. Chakwas needs immediate medical attention. "Like that wasn't obvious. C'mon chica." James held the woman up bridal style, allowing the body to lay limp in her place. "Let's get you out of here."
"I shall stay and look around for supplies."
"Sounds good to me, be careful Buggy. Don't think I need to tell you how unstable everything is."
"Definitely not. Now go."
James was on his way. Javik turned back to the body. As he suspected, it was her arm that was crushed; as she was missing one of such a limb. Poor, sorry, human. He knelt down and placed his hand on the woman's corpse. His sensory ability showed him what happened to her.
"AGGGH!" The crate crushed her arm. Chakwas hurried over to her. Crying. Screaming. "Don't worry! I'm going to get you out of there." She pulled, so much pain. So much blood. "I can't... I can't!" Chakwas cut off her arm with her omni-tool. Allers bled out.
That is the end of her story.

Tali took Garrus under her arm and began to help him over to the Galaxy Map. "Alright guys, all this excitement has got Garrus feeling obviously under pressure. I'm taking him to go rest somewhere that isn't as chaotic as this mess." She explained. Everyone waved her off as the walked to their destination. "Grab it." Garrus whispered.
Tali left his side and made her way to the center of which the Galaxy Map once had been. She stepped upon the ledge... the ledge that Shepard once stood upon. There was a large piece of metal jutting out from the small area that the Map used to be, but it had not damaged the core if the Galaxy Map's system. She slinked underneath the guard rail and slipped down to the middle of the canal. Being an engineer, it was quite easy for Tali to find and obtain the undamage navigation system. As that was all she needed. The Galaxy Map is able to pinpoint and calculate all the planets and stars with the Milky Way and automatically calculate the paths necessary to reach the desired location of the user's choosing.
This left Tali happily getting back to Garrus with the navigation system in the palm of her hand. "Now let's go find ourselves a working shuttle."
