Last night was the first night I dreamt about Leo. I only have been with the turtles for a couple of days, and I have mostly been around Leo that whole time. That’s all it was, just some bits of memory from the times we spent together. I heard a soft knock on my door that managed to wake me up completely. Then I heard it slowly creak open and someone coming in.

“Skylar?” Leo said softly.

Hearing his soft voice made me smile as I slowly turned and stretched my arms out above my head. My abdomen wasn’t hurting as much this morning which made it easy to move around. I sat up in bed and looked up at him with a tired smile. He smiled back at me and walked in more to my new room, keeping the door cracked open.

“Good morning Leo,” I said softly.

“Good morning. How’s your side feeling today?” He asked gently sitting at the foot of the bed.

“Surprisingly not that bad today.. I think those pills Donnie gave me are like extra extra strong pain meds.” I said with a little giggle which gained a chuckle from him.

“Well he did make them himself specifically for us after training and fights. The stuff from above barely helped any of our pains.” He explained.

I turned to where I hung my legs over the edge of the bed as I listened to him. I could feel his eyes were on me, watching me carefully.

“Do you think you can stand today?” he asked gently.

“Yeah I think so,” I said softly with a little nod.

I sat there for a second prepping myself. This was gonna be the first time that I walked since being stabbed. Even though sitting up and stretching slightly seemed to not cause me any pain this morning, that doesn't mean that standing wouldn’t cause pain either. I eventually pushed myself to stand up, Leo’s eyes glued onto me as he watched and looked like he was ready to catch me if I fell. I soon stood up straight and smiled, turning towards Leo where I was met with that sweet grin on his face.

“Look at you! Standing on your own, I feel like such a proud parent,” He teased.

I shoved him on his arm causing us both to laugh. My hand wasn’t on his arm for long, but I could feel how tight his muscles were. I managed to somehow keep my cheeks from blushing as I watched him stand up and could see how his muscles moved doing so.

“So.. if you’re ready, my brothers and I are ready to head over to your place. It’s after ten a.m. and-” Leo said before I cut him off.

“Ten a.m.? Why didn’t you wake me up earlier?” I asked as I went into the bathroom to at least wash my face.

I didn’t have anything else to wear but what torn clothes I have on now.

“Well.. we all woke up early for our training with Splinter, and I figured you deserved the rest. We had just ended when I came up here to get you.” Leo explained as he waited in the room.

“Oh.. I didn’t know that.. I didn’t hear a thing.” I said as I walked out of the bathroom.

“Yeah, these walls are pretty thick, though somehow Mikey manages to yell right through them.” He said as we walked out of the room.

I smiled and shook my head as we walked out together. Leo stayed close to me, still feeling his eyes studying me as if he was figuring out when/if I was going to fall. We walked down the stairs together where we met his brothers standing there at the elevator to the warehouse.

“Good morning dudette! I packed you some snacks to eat on the way to your apartment.” Mikey said happily, handing me a bag of fruits and another bag of pretzels.
