ESME/THOMAS
The blue water is way too soothing to the burning flames. The same calm water could take away your last breaths in dreadful moments. I still breathe through the damn water, but I don't know where the fuck I am. I swim deeper into the river and I find a blazing fire in the center of the river. I get closer to it, slowly and I touch it. The fire shoots into the sky high. Creatures come out from their hiding. "Helloooo, Esme." A demon comes out to face me. "Are you a water demon?" I ask him. He nods. "I need to know where Dante is. He has something that belongs to me." He chuckles at my request and the fire grows more and more.
"You should seek the one who made the book, first. I highly believe Thomas had his own opinion about the book, didn't he?" I stay silent. "Where is he, then?" I ask, profusely. He clicks his tongue multiple times. "Darling, he's just right behind you." I scurry back a few feet and turn my head to face Thomas. His eyes had changed color into yellow ones. "Esme, it's nice to see you, again." I feel tingles growing under my skin, so I keep running and running away from him, but I hear his laughter echoing everywhere.
"Where do you think you're going, Esme? Running again to Dante, hmm?" I run faster and faster until I pump back into his chest. "Hello, again." He says, darkly. I move back a few feet. "Where is the damn book, Thomas?" He laughs, mockingly. "I believe that you'll never find the book unless I want you to find it. Speaking of that son of the bitch, Dante has no idea what he actually is holding onto. It's not just a damn book, you see. It's a bomb, waiting for me to be exploded." I don't understand a word from him. "What do you mean by a 'bomb'?" He grabs a rock and he sat on it. "Let me warn you: whatever you're looking for in the damn book, it's going to curse you with it. The book knows that Dante isn't his true master."
"Funny story, I'm the God of Magic. I'm one of the gods who you should pray for, yet you still defy me, even after your death in Egypt. I cursed you 6000 years ago. A true monster needed to be sacrificed for all the other gods to stay and rule Egypt, but Dante has Horus's true power and magic and in order to stop him, I had sacrificed his true power which is you. You were just a toy to be played with. Now, you have become the demon who shall break those walls of dimensions down, so hell breaks loose and bleeds into the human world and the past, present and future shall join together to become one and burn all humans alive, while you watch them all die a dreadful death."
I snarl at him and grab him from his neck and push him on the ground. "You're a fucking bad liar! You told me in the bloodied world that it was going to be my child from Dante who shall raise hell, not me." My eyes change color into red and fire burns my clothes in mere seconds to be replaced with black dress and my eyes are drawn to be like the Egyptian's eyes. "Very well, then. I remember I told you that, so you shall have the child with Dante and bring it into the human world. I knew if the child was born here, I shall order his death, so he can die along with you. You see, those powers you and Dante have, the child will inherit them and become more powerful than Lucifer Morningstar." I punch his nose multiple times till his nose bleeds out.
"Where is Dante?! Tell me, now!!" I keep punching his face over and over, but a storm hits the sky and someone pulls me from the river and I am lifted into the air. The lightning hits the sky and I try to escape, but it's like someone is controlling my body from falling back to the ground and a circle is being drawn under my legs. "A fucking devil's trap, Dante? FUCK YOU!!!" I scream into the air and I fall back in the circle. I see Dante hiding himself in the cloak. "Are you reuniting with Thomas?" He asks me, hoarsely.
"You took the only thing that gonna break the curse and bring us back to our home. You're just doing all the damn job for Thomas, and you're going to change into a demon, too. The book holds an obsession curse and you're obsessed with Thomas, magic book and revenge. Break the damn circle, so we could have a civilized talk. This is his plan the whole freaking time!"
"You don't get it and you'll never know what kind of pain I feel. I've grown into this cloak and my face isn't even real. I want my power back and he took it from me. He cursed me with the damn book I'm holding onto now and I shall do whatever it takes to take back what is mine." The sky becomes grey and becomes filled with black clouds. The lightning strikes a tree and it's set on fire. Dante stares at the tree momentarily and I find a snake sliding into the circle with me and breaks the trap. I run into Dante and I push him on the burning tree. The screams turn into howls and the snake's body shifts into a person with snake's eyes. He starts burning a hole into the ground and Dante falls inside it, but I jump on another tree.
"I'm not here to hurt you, you know." He stares at me and I stare at his strange features. His eyes are red, his big long hands are too thin that the veins are very apparent. He has blond long hair and his grey-white skin start to glow under the rain falling on us and suddenly, he shifts into a snake and disappears in the grass. I find a small paper in my hand. "Cram." I read.
