I stare at Olivia way longer than I should. But I can't help it, I love seeing the way the sun hits her dark skin making it glow golden, I love that cute little face she makes when she's mad at me, but most of all I love her soft brown curls always tied in a ponytail with a ribbon for practice. I would love to pull that ribbon out and watch her hair fall, but that would make her too mad for my liking.
"Lee"
A sound shatters my thoughts and brings me back to my practice where we practice strategy. When practice ends me and the guys go into the locker room the guys are messing around but I just want to shower and leave. As the warm water falls all over me my thoughts drift to Olivia.
"Where is she going?"
"Is she still here?"
"What is she doing?"
I shake the thoughts out of my head as I step out of the shower. A beautiful sound floats into the air and I recognize it Immediately. Olivia is singing never have I seen her happier than when she was singing. She gets a look of pure joy when she sings, like the one she gets when she reads, but more than anything it's nothing like the pained look she gets when she plays soccer. None of these are things that I'm supposed to notice because she only sings when she thinks she's alone, I'm not supposed to know the rest either because she hates me. And she thinks I hate her. The singing stops and time restarts as I walk to my car it's one of those unusually hot October days but the wind was really strong, I pull myself into the driver's seat I try my hardest to think of anything other than her.************
