I pull into the parking lot of the school, and step out of my car. I'm instantly chilled by the cold wind. I curse under my breath realizing I forgot to bring a sweater. I look up into one of those really misleading days where it's bright and sunny but freakishly cold, and rub my hands on my arms trying to settle my goosebumps and shivers. The inside of the school is no better so I make my way to the lost and found where I find a huge blue zip up hoodie. I pull it on and inhale it's scent, something about it seems weirdly familiar, both the scent and the sweater itself. But inside it I feel safer than I have in a long time. The bell scatters my thoughts and I rush to my first class before I'm late.

The first half of the day drags by unbearably slowly since Alexis and Brooke were in none of my classes. I get pulled out of my haze by the sudden rush of people leaving the classroom and dash out the door. I run down the stairs into the courtyard, and onto the bench where Brooke and Alexis sit, pulling lunches out of their bags.
"- All I'm saying is that the winter solder can respectfully rail me till I can't walk."
" What the hell conversation did I walk it on."
"Brooke thinks that Bucky Barnes is hotter than Tony stark!"
"Sorry Lex, but I have to side with Brooke on this one.
Eventually the conversation steers into more normal territory, like complaining about teachers and homework. Before we even realize it lunch is over. We say our goodbyes and head over to each of our classes. As I step through the doors into the hallway I'm nearly trampled by the stampede of  students rushing to make it to class. The second I catch my balance I run all the way to my chemistry class and slide into my seat just as ms Ross starts attendance. I put my head down in relief until the familiar Sense of  dread crashes over me at the realization that I have soccer practice after school. I let out an internal groan and drag my attention to copying the notes off of the board
