Instead of taking a Quinjet of SHIELD's, the group took a normal plane but they weren't interacting much.
Mackenzie, Steve and Bucky were in front of the plane, Natasha, Bobbi, and Clint were in the middle, and Mack, Tripp, Lance and Sam were in the back of the plane.
When everyone managed to get off the plane, they still pretended to not know each other.
"Hold my hand, Bucky." Mackenzie spoke quietly, not wanting everyone to hear heir conversation.
"What? Why?"
"Either hold my hand or I'll have Steve hold my hand."
"Okay." Bucky held Mackenzie's hand with his left one- which happened to be his metal hand. He was uneasy and still self conscious about it. But he wore a thin jacket that only showed his hand.
"We're gonna split. Cap, break off from Kenzie and Bucky and go with Sam. Bobbi's going with Lance and Mack and Tripp are going off by themselves. Remember, guys. We're suppose to be finding Hydra's facility here. Be careful and don't underestimate anyone." Natasha was giving orders before Captain Rogers did so everyone listened to her, including Steve.
"Are you okay with us looking for Hydra?" Mackenzie asked with a serious tone as she looked up to Bucky.
"Why wouldn't I be?" Bucky spoke quietly, involuntarily squeezing Mackenzie's hand.
"Well for starters, you just squeezed my hand."
"I'm sorry. I swear, I didn't mean to hurt you-"
"Relax. You didn't." Mackenzie gave him a soft smile, leaning into him as he tried to lean away. "You don't have to worry about being too hard on me, Bucky. I'm not as fragile as I look."
"I know but it just... I don't want to change it, ya know?"
"Yeah. I understand." Mackenzie nodded, finding comfort in the way he wrapped his metal arm around her, switching to hold her left hand.
"Are we a thing then?" Bucky made things a bit awkward but Mackenzie chuckled a little.
"Yeah, Buck. We can be a thing. You're so cute."
"Shut up." Bucky mumbled and playfully nudged her foreword with his shoulder. "I haven't had a girl for a while so don't take it offensively if I don't do what I'm suppose to."
"Oh I'm not expecting you to get me anything or take me out to eat. I'm not very picky about those things. They don't fascinate me in a relationship."
"Then tell me what does." Bucky liked the way Mackenzie could go from being her jokester, prank pulling, always laughing self to the serious, but not too serious Anastasia Romanova.
"I'd rather just go on missions like this. I'm a weird person." Mackenzie shrugged her shoulders. "I like traveling so it adds to the job. Kicking ass is better when you do it in different countries."
Bucky chuckled at Mackenzie, shaking his head slightly.

After a while of strolling around Rio and finding no signs of Hydra, everyone retried to the apartment complex they'd be staying in.
Mackenzie and Bucky would be sharing an apartment, much like they shared at Mackenzie's, except now they would be sharing beds.
"I don't sleep a lot, Bucky, just to warn you." Mackenzie had her back facing Bucky when he got into bed next to her.
"Bad dreams?"
Mackenzie nodded, smiling softly as she turned to him, slamming a pillow into his face.
"We aren't teens. Don't start something you won't win." Bucky chuckled, grabbing the pillow when she tried to hit him again
"Oh I always win pillow fights." Mackenzie moved to straddle his waist, catching him off guard so she could nail him with another pillow.
"Damn it, Kenzie. You gotta mean swing." Bucky rubbed his face a little, holding Mackenzie's hips with his free hand.
"Yeah. I've been told so." Mackenzie leaned down to place a kiss on his cheek before slyly rolling off him and laying on her own side of the bed. "Good night, Barnes."
"Good night, Anderson." Bucky refused to keep distance between himself and Mackenzie, so he pulled her back to her, their bodies fitting perfectly together.
Mackenzie's small body seemed to practically be shielded by Bucky's larger body.
"You're warm." Mackenzie yawned, snuggling back into his chest.

The next morning, everyone was up bright and early, having coffee around the living room of Natasha and Clint's apartment.
"Were we given any coordinates for the location of the Hydra facility?" Mackenzie asked, taking a sip of her hot coffee. She sat in the floor, leaning against Bucky's legs. The stranger girl refused to let Bucky give her his seat.
"Yeah. Its a warehouse on the other side of Rio that goes underground." Bobbi nodded. She was looking through the file on a tablet.
"Should we head there now?" Sam questioned.
"Not all together. We need a main team and a backup one incase additional people are necessary." Steve shook his head. "Bucky, me, Nat, and Kenzie will go in first. Barton'll be posted up on a building nearby, sniping anybody out if needed. The rest of you will makeup the backup team. Keep an emergency first aid kit nearby if needed. Let's suit up."
Bucky started to get up but Mackenzie stopped him, refusing to stand just yet.
"I'm still drinking my coffee. Don't touch me." Mackenzie gripped the mug in her hands, loving the warmth it was emitting.
"You do realize its, like, ninety degrees outside, right?" Bobbi ruffled Mackenzie's hair as she went by.
"I like the heat." Mackenzie shrugged and stood up, going down the hall to her room with Bucky a few ways behind her.
After a shower, Mackenzie put on a pair of tan cargo pants, a black long sleeve crop top, and a pair of black ankle wedged boots. A black beanie was put on the back of her head, letting the brunette curls flow out of the bottom. Her makeup was light, peachy colored lipstick, eyeliner, and thick mascara.
"Here. We're going to use these." Natasha handed Mackenzie and Bucky a walkie talkie as the four went out to the rented vehicle.
Mackenzie clipped the walkie talkie on to her pants and slipping her pistol into the back of her pants.
Bucky wore his usual get up; black everything. The only thing of his outfit he didn't wear was the mask and the makeup.
"Let's kick some ass, Bucky." Mackenzie kissed Bucky's cheek before getting into the vehicle.
"What was that?" Steve was quick to see what just went on.
"I have no idea." Bucky chuckled, climbing into the back of the vehicle with Mackenzie.
I know!! I'm a total A-Hole!! I'm so sorry!! I was having such bad writer's block but now I have a bunch of ideas so expect more updates like every week or every two weeks, not every other year lol.
Do you like how I kinda changed Mackenzie's attitude a little so she was more sweet and serious with Bucky?? I want to make them start forming a relationship so I have to drop some of the playfulness of Kenzie but not all of it! Believe me, she will still be stealing things and pulling pranks on people!!
AND OMG AOU!!! PERFECT!! 👌👌
(Mackenzie's outfit is the picture connected to the chapter FYI)
