The next morning, Kenzie and Bucky were up bright and early. They went for a jog together, racing mostly. Bucky won, of course, but Kenzie refused to back down from the race.
The two were currently hanging out in Steve's office, waiting for him to arrive.
Mackenzie laying upside down on the couch while Bucky sat in the chair behind Steve's desk.
The door opened and Steve stopped, realizing there were people in his apartment.
"Hey, Cap." Mackenzie back flipped off the couch and stood up.
"Why are you two in my office?" Steve sighed as he handed Bucky a cup of coffee.
"Because." Mackenzie shrugged. "Where's my coffee?"
"Sam has it. I think he's still flirting with the girl at the reception desk on the tenth floor."
"I'll be back." Mackenzie sighed and left the office. No more than five minutes later, she returned with her coffee in hand.
"Where's-" Steve stopped when he saw Sam come in behind Mackenzie, rubbing his arm.
"What happened to you?" Bucky asked, glancing to Kenzie.
"Little Ms. Soft and Sweet happened." Sam muttered as he sat on the couch.
"So what are your guys' plans for today?" Steve asked, leaning against his desk.
"I'm annoying the hell out of you, Sam, and Nat." Mackenzie replied.
"And I'm babysitting her, I guess." Bucky sighed but watched Mackenzie with caring eyes.
"So you two...?" Sam motioned between the two.
"You two what?" Mackenzie asked, sipping on her coffee as she sat on the edge of the desk.
"You're a thing?"
Mackenzie shrugged so Sam looked to Bucky.
"Dunno." Bucky shrugged too.
"I'm just going to think you two are together." Sam rolled his eyes.
"Who two are together?" Natasha asked as she walked into the room with Clint behind her.
"Bucky and Kenzie." Steve answered. Natasha looked from Bucky to Mackenzie and raised her eyebrows at her little sister.
"What?"
"Come with me for a moment, Anastasia."
"Eww, don't call me by that name!" Mackenzie whined as she got off the desk and followed the Widow out of the office.
"You're with him?" Natasha hissed as Mackenzie closed the door behind her.
"Yeah." She nodded, suddenly realizing what Natasha's sudden attitude was about. Mackenzie crossed her arms and looked up at her older sister. "You have a problem with that, Natalia?"
"Don't get that tone with me, Mackenzie. And yes. I do have a problem with my little sister being with the same soviet slug that shot and almost killed me, not to mention he almost did the same to you."
"And? Barton shot you with an arrow when you two met."
"But Clint wasn't some HYDRA thug!"
Yes, Natasha was Mackenzie's sister, but she wasn't going to let Natasha talk bad about Bucky when he was brainwashed into doing everything he had.
"Leave my personal life the hell alone, Natasha." Mackenzie spat before pushing the door open with enough force to cause a hole in the wall with the door knob. "Come on, Bucky."
