Angeria's POV
I was in my little room calmly organizing my pearls and seashells when the door harshly opens.
- Angie! Angie! You won't believe what I saw!!! - Willow, my best friend, shouts in excitement
- Oh my! Willow you want to scare me to death?? - the other mermaid smiles awkwardly and I swim next to her - So. What is it?
- Oh okay. First please don't fight with me... - I tilt my head, already knowing where this is going - Buuuut I went near the coast with Yvie...
- Willow! That's really dangerous!
- Shhh let me finish! So we were near the big wall of rocks and we hear voices. Which is unusual since it's far from the city. So we totally needed to check it out and it seems that they're building something near the rock beach!
She tells me the story really exited. I sigh. We are prohibited from the coast for a reason. I worry about Willow a lot. She is very sweet but her sister can be such a bad influence.
- Girl you know how I feel about that...
- I know I know - her tone gets a little sad knowing that I don't get as exited with the news as she's expected me to.
- Just don't get yourself in danger please.
- I won't. - she takes a pause and looks back at me - Hey Angie
- Hm?
- I know you may think this is crazy but... would you go near the cost one day with me? - her eyes sparkle and she does that cute face - Pleeease
- Uhggg okay... - She smiles at my answer- But just one time! Just because I love you
- Thank you! You're the best friend a girl could ask for!
She hugs me tightly. I smile and hug back. It's so good to see her happy like that. But I'm scared to death of humans. I really hope that I won't regret this promise.

Two weeks later
- C'mom Angie! Yvie and the girls are waiting for us!
Willow calls me with excitement. She can't keep herself still, swinging her tail left and right. I grab my bag and hesitatingly follow her. Willow has done this many times. Her older sister, Yvie, and some of her friends like to play the cool kids and go in these adventures. I've talked to Willow many times about how dangerous it can be, but she doesn't care. YOLO I guess?
Us, people of the merfolk, have lived in the ocean for centuries in peace. The problems started when humans weren't satisfied only with land and began to explore the seas. They pollute our waters and hunt sea creatures and even us. So we needed to start hiding. My dad has always told me tales of brave mermaids that have fought against humans but few of them have survived.
