Morpheus. King of dreams

Part 10 -the book and a kiss-

  Mari woke up with arm wrapped around her tightly. It was Morpheus, he had stayed their all night ; well I guess day , the dreaming works differently. 

Mari look up at him seeing that he was still sleeping soundly. She was token aback how peacefully he slept. 'I guess that's usual for him. He is the lord of dreams after all. His dreams must be really nice' Mari thought to herself   She lifted up her hand to touch his face.  

His skin was cold to the touch but slightly warm. His face was very soft and smooth but had a very strong bone structure. Maris thumb drifted down ti his lips. Just as expected they were just as soft as she thought they were. Mari was so close to him that she could just kiss him right in that moment but she stopped herself thinking it would be unfair. Mari was so captivated in his glowing looks ; she didn't realize that he had awakened, watching her. He didn't wanna ruin the moment, he enjoyed watching Mari bask in his features.

"Morning Mari" he said devilish and flipped on top of her. He was now hovering above her with his hands above her had and his one of his legs between hers. "Mari I told you if your not careful;I don't know how much I'll be able to control myself" he growled

Mari was shocked and embarrassed that Morpheus had felt/saw her caressing his face. Mari looked away biting her lip.

Morpheus took his hand and lifted her chin were she would look at him " Is my little bird embarrassed she got caught" he teased   Mari shook her head in response. He leaned down closer to her face with their lips barely touching. Mari breathed hitched "Morpheus I-" she was cut off "What little birdie?" He asked  

"Your so close. I could k-" Mari stopped not wanting to finish her sentence

"Oh I see" he leaned in a little closer   His hand reach to her face brushing his fingers across her hot skin. His hand started to explore her body then he stopped. "What's wrong" she asked.

He took a breath "You have no idea how much I wanna do to you but not now. It isn't fair. We have to get rid of that book." He got up and left.

Mari laying there replaying what just happened. Mari was so confused did her like her as much as she does him or does he just like toying with her. She was angry and flustered. She got up and went to the bathroom to take a shower. She thought it would help her to calm down.

Once she got done she walked out of the bathroom to see the most beautiful and elegant dress laying on the bed with a note. 

- I forgot to get you some clothes from the waking world. I hope this will do for now. I made it myself- Morpheus

Mari scoffed at it but then again it's all she had. With resentment she put it on. She went over to the mirror to look at herself in the dress. She admitted that Morpheus does have a good taste in dresses. Then she noticed some stuff laying on the mantle.  It makeup with another note.

She smiled and butterflies grew in her stomach but that nagging feeling that Morpheus was just playing with her ruined the small moment but she was happy that she was able to cover he terrible eye bags from not getting good sleep.

  After Mari was down she walked out the door to be greeted by Matthew

"Why hello Matthew. It's been a while" she said leaning down petting the Raven

"It has. Morpheus had sent me to show to the kitchen. My boss had prepared you some food. He thought you might be hungry" Matthew cawed and flew and Mari followed. 

Mari waked into the kitchen to see a hug long table with loads of food. Mari stomach growled at the sight. "Wow.  He did all this" she said smiling.

"Yes" said Matthew "it's very unlike him to do this so you must be very special to him. Most of the time he just get the matters done as fast as possible but with you he's been very careful"
