"Morpheus it's been weeks. You can't stay in here forever. You need to eat!" Called Lucienne through the door
"I know" Morpheus said opening the door and closing it behind him
"Come my lord; let's eat" Lucienne guided Morpheus to the dinning hall "Sit here. I'll get the staff to make you some food"
Morpheus sat down at the chair Lucienne pulled out for him. He sat there in silence with grimace on his face.
Once the food came Morpheus only picked at and moved the food about the plate.
"My lord, please" begged Lucienne "You have to eat"
"How can I eat when the love my life is on the brink of death" Morpheus grumbled.
"Morpheus. She only resting." Said Lucienne "She'll wake soon. Death said so"
"I know , I know." Morpheus whispered and laid his head in his hands. "I can only think of the worst. It's all my fault"
"It's not your fault, my Lord" said Lucienne assuring him"If it's anyone fault , it would be Maris friend Annie. Annie did have that book after all"
"That is True" said Morpheus sighing "I'm gonna go check on Mari" he said getting up and leaving
"Morpheus you've barely ate" Lucienne called after him
"I'll eat once she's awake" Morpheus said sternly and walked away hurriedly

Morpheus went back to the room wear Mari was sleeping. The room was filled with her favorite flowers he had laid out according. Some even hung from the ceiling over we're Mari slept. Beautiful vines climb up the walls and a beautiful window seat on the far side wall in the room.
He walked in to see Mari still lying in the bed very still and quietly breathing. He sat down on the edge of the bed beside her and placed his hand on her head stroking her hair.
"I'm so sorry Mari" Morpheus said weeping , leaning down placing a kiss on her forehead"Please wake up soon. I miss you"
-Time skip-
It's been weeks since Maris been asleep. Morpheus tried everything to wake her up not even his own power could wake her. That hurt Morpheus deeply.
"Brother. She'll wake up soon. No need to mourn over her" Death said appearing in her room. "Healing takes time. She not going anywhere"
"What are you doing here sister?" Said Morpheus
"I'm here to get you back up on your feet. Lucienne has told me you've been starving yourself" said death "You'll kill yourself that way. Even if your immortal"
"I won't die from starvation. I've been locked away for 200 decades without food before" said Morpheus looking at his sister
"That's not what I mean. I mean destroying your mental health. It will cause you to fall. You need to take care of yourself brother" said death
"I know but Mari.." said Morpheus
"She will be fine. She just needs lots of rest" said Death "Come on Dream take a walk with me in the waking world" Death took Morpheus hand and appeared in the waking world.
