*~*~*~*
I stepped from the shower, wrapping the blue fuzzy towel around my dripping body. My hair fell in unbrushed ringlets down my back. I quickly straightened them out with the hair brush, also wringing it from water.
I wrapped my blonde locks up into a bun. I quickly pulled the few dead strands that fell off. Like also, there were quite a few. It was worrying. I was losing my hair at a faster pace then it was growing. I reminded myself to contact a doctor on it.
I looked in the mirror. I was immediatley disgusted by myself. The person in the mirror was an alien to me. I didn't know who it was. The person has a depressed look, hollow eyes, sad lips. The lips actually looked as if they longed for other ones.
The eyes looked depressed, sad, wishing for anything but breath. It was terrible looking at the eyes. It was like I left myself in England, and a different person took the empty place of myself at the hotel. I hated thinking this was me. I knew something had always been wrong. Something was never right.
I shrugged the horrible feeling off, and reached for my bathing suit. I planned to wear the one piece first. I wasn't too far off from the beach. My only hope was it was vacant, but I knew it was false hope.
I strapped on the bathing suit and looking in the hotel's body length mirror. I grabbed one of the long, white, beach towels, slowly leaving the room and putting the towel around my waist at the same time.
I slipped flip flops on, and left the chilled room, locking the door on the way out. I pulled my purse farther up my shoulder. I stood in the cold elevator until it dinged, screaming its destination on the first floor.
I was greeted by the salty waves smell, the sun beaming in my eyes, and the sight of people snapping my picture. They called my name out, trying to reach my attention.
I got to the beach, and laid down first, working on my tan. I rented a chair, silently sitting there. Suddenly my sun was blocked from my view. I looked up, ready to see myself surrounded by photogaphers. In my view of the sun was a boy. He has brown hair, a surfer boys look. He had no shirt on, flexing his strong biceps. He smiled.
He starred into my soul it seems. His smile seemed to fade. "Hi."
"Hello," I mumbled back.
"How are you?" he asked sitting in the sand. I turned over to look at him.
"Good. Is there anything I can help you with?" He began stuttering, but I stopped him. "Please no lies. Today is not the time."
"See my friends over there?" He pointed to a ring of boys. They sat in a circle, near some girls. Most were looking at us. I nodded. "Well they bet me to talk to you, because I told them I thought you were the prettiest girl here." I looked at all the girls on the beach. His voice was reassuring, and seemed that he wasn't lying. I took a chance and actually believed the brunette.
"Thank you ... uh, I don't know your name."
"My name is Jake," he said, sticking his hand out. I smiled and shook hands with the boy.
"My name is Piper. How nice to meet you Jake." He smiled lightly.
"May I take you for dinner? Tonight, perhaps? We can have a triple date with the other boys over there." There were 3 boys, along with 3 girls.
"You know what," I paused, to make a moment of thought. "I would love to go out to dinner with you." He smiled.
"Oh thank you! You're so out of my league but you said yes! You've made me so happy Piper!" He seemed untrustworthy but if Niall and Harry were so protective of me they couldn't do anything about this boy. I began trusting him, despite knowing him for seconds.
I smiled hugely at the surfer boy. "Why that is so sweet!" I looked into his eyes. He seemed like such a sweet boy, and he even took my mind off Niall, momentarily. I tried to rid Niall of my mind, but it was hard. He was like glued in my skull. I couldn't get him off my mind.
