Finally, I lifted his hand up, and put it on my chest, right where you could feel my heartbeat. "Feel that?" I looked up at the perfect boy. He nodded. "I owe it to you. You saved me. I can't love you enough for that."
He began pushing the hair out of my eyes like I did for him on the airplane. I pushed myself off him, and held myself up on my elbow, looking down at him. I pulled my hair around my neck to hang off one shoulder. I leaned down and kissed his lips. I pulled away and sat up. He sat as well, and pulled me into a hug. "I love you more than you can understand, princess." He kissed my neck, and pulled away. We heard the door open downstairs and some greetings take place. "That's probably Greg and my dad. You ready to go downstairs?"
"Wait, I wanna get changed and redo my hair."
"I'll wait." I pulled a shirt out and a skirt. I quickly undressed right in front of my boyfriend. He sat on the bed and just looked away.
"I really don't care if you look at me. You're my boyfriend." He nodded, but looked at the floorboards.
"I can't." I pressed my hands to his cheeks and made him look at me.
"Niall. It's fine." I pulled the shirt over my bare chest, and slid the skirt up. It went down to my knees, so it wasn't too short. I looked in the mirror. I brushed through my hair with a hair brush, and pulled it down. It was wavy as if I just got out of the shower. I pulled my side bangs to the side, and clipped them. "Ready." Niall took my hand, and with the free hand he had he opened the door. We both walked to the stairs, but he went down first. When I got down the stairs he put his hand on m waist, as we walked like that. We got to the dining room to see everyone was just about to sit down. A boy looked about Nialls age, and but had brown hair. He looked like Perez Hilton.
The older man looked about Maura's age, and was almost bald. You could see both Niall and the other young boy in his face. He was tall, towering over Maura as he spoke. Everyone got quiet when we got in the room.
"Niall!" The tall man came over and hugged Niall. I was shorter than Niall, and Niall was taller than his mum, so basically the man towered over us all.
"Dad, how ya been?" Niall patted the mans forearm. "Oh, Piper, this is my dad. Dad, this is Piper, my girlfriend." I shook hands with the big man.
"Nice to finally meet you. I've heard about you for years now. Call me Bobby, kay hun?" I nodded, and warmly smiled.
"Niall, you don't contact your own flesh and blood?"
"Hey Greg." Greg, his brother, embracing Niall in a man hug. "This is my girl, Piper. Piper, this is Greg, my brother."
"Hello, nice to meet you." I shook hands with his brother. He smiled at me and turned to Niall.
"You didn't tell me you were dating Piper Clark..." Greg said through gritted teeth.
"Yes I did, maybe a billion times but you were to busy reading those-" Niall was getting the arguement started, but he didn't know.
"Okay! Time to eat!" Maura sat at the head of the table at the right side, Bobby say opposite of her. Greg sat across from Niall, between an empty chair and Bobby. I took the seat by Maura, opposite of the empty chair next to Greg. Niall took the seat next to me inbetween me and his dad. Maura put two pigs platters of spaghetti in the middle. "I had to make a lot, espeically with these boys." She used her fork to point at the boys who already had plates full of pasta, but the platters were still filled to the brim. Maura put out two big bowls of salad with dressing, and a big platter with about 10 sticks of Italian bread. "Its so wonderful to finally have a girlfriend of Niall's over for dinner. I'm finally not the only girl at the table."
"I understand. When my sister went out when I was younger it was only me, my brother, and my dad. I hardly ever ate at the time because all the boys ate all the food! And when I was a young kid and my mum died I had to live with my stepfather for a while. He didn't even have any kids," I explained grabbing some spaghetti. I took one bread roll and a scoop of salad, even though I hate it and it makes me gag.
"Wow, you seem to have had quite the time. How about when your boyfriends came over to eat, huh? Did they take all the food too?" Greg picked at his salad for a minute, after saying that. "Any of your many boyfriends?" He said the last part so low, he obviously didn't want anyone to hear. I heard. So did the whole table.
"Greg!" his mum scolded.
"Well at least I'm being honest. She's a slut, okay? Its on all of our minds, even yours Niall's. I hate to be the one to say it." I knew his family wouldn't like me.
"Greg, you don't know her," I knew Niall tried to stay calm but he couldn't. He gripped the knife so tightly his knuckles went deadly white.
"How many boyfriends have you had this month, besides my brother? 10? Do you just date them for the presents? Or their looks? Or their fame?" My face dropped.
"Greg, that is enough!" If Bobby was like my stepdad he would've hit me right then and there.
"It's fine," I muttered. Niall put his hand on mine, showing he was there, but I felt the need to explain. "I was forced to date Bo Willis. If I didn't his career would end. My management made me. I never truly dated Jake. I don't even know his last name. I never would have dated Jake in a million years."
"Then why did you?" Maura, Bobby, and Niall were telling him to stop. Niall was telling me they didn't need to know, but if he has the wrong impression, why keep him thinking that?
"He made me. He threatened to tell the world secrets that weren't even true. If you count the last relationship I had that wasn't forced is this one, between me and Niall."
"You know it isn't true. How he supposedly threatened the world your secrets," Greg retorted. He stood over his pasta, his tie almost falling in the sauce.
"I stayed because he threatened to tell the world I was pregnant with Bo, and I wasn't. That I hurt Niall. I was a prostitute. I stayed because he hurt me, and I thought if I left he'd kill me. None of my past relationships were real. The one between Jake was just an abusive relationship that I didn't want. He hurt me. He hit me." The room was quiet. "When me and Niall went on that short vacation it was because I was in the witness protection. If I was saw with police my fans would find out and leak it. He killed all his ex-girlfriends." When I said it seemed unreal. He killed all of his ex-girlfriends.
"Piper... I'm sorry." Greg looked at me.
"Piper, are you okay?" Maura asked, grabbing my other hand. I yanked my hands away and wiped the tears forming at my eyes.
"I don't care, its over and done with." I began to eat, so everyone just dropped the conversation. When we finished with spaghetti it was getting late.
"We must go now, we have to get to the hotel," Niall said kissing his parents goodbye, and patting his brothers forearms.
"Have a nice night everyone, nice to meet you all." Niall opened the door, letting me out first. He pulled the luggage behind him as he shut the door. He called a cab that was finally here. I held the carry ons in place on my lap as he drove. "I'm sorry about what Greg did."
"It's fine. Uh, Niall can I tell you something?" Niall didn't know that abuse wasn't the only thing Jake did to me. Niall didn't know about the rape.
