LETS ALL BE SERIOUS. IF LEMONADE MOUTH WAS REALLY A BAND, WE'D ALL LOVE THEM. C'MON THEY ARE THE SHIT. I LOVE THEIR MUSIC. THIS CHAPTER TITLE IS THEIR SONG 'MORE THAN A BAND' AND I SWEAR

I reached for someone's random drink, the music pumping so loudly. Suddenly something stopped me. It was as if Niall's face appeared right before my eyes and everything clicked together. I loved him. No, I was IN love with him. It was as if his ghost stopped me from getting wasted. I pulled myself together and got myself upstairs to our room. Right before I pushed my key in, I heard a whisper. I knew I shoudn't easdrop. I was in a relationship with Niall, and I trusted him. He trusted me. I slid the card into the slot and opened the door. Niall was sitting on the bed, a waitress standing in front of him.

I heard myself gasp and that was it. I ran out of the room and soon Niall and the waitress was chasing after me. I ran as far as I could - which landed me in front of Maura's house. I sat on the porch step, and suddenly it started raining. Just my luck. I groaned and pulled my shirt as far over my head as I could. Luckily I had joggers on so the rain didn't soak through them. I had a really long shirt on. It was baggy, and I was sure my bra had to be showing. It was a long sleeve white shirt.

I pulled my knees up to my chest, and laid my head on the ground. I just had the pictures go through my mind. Niall was cheating on me. Niall cheated on me. Just earlier he was trying to catch up with me when we ran around the lake. That was this morning. Niall was caught cheating. He said he loved me. He said he'd never do that. I was in love with him, too.

My tears kept falling. They soaked my shirt. Soon I heard the door open, and someone gasp. I felt a blanket wrap around my shoulder, and soon Maura pulled me inside the door. I reached in my pocket, and saw I had my credit card and my hotel key. While Maura pulled me inside, I formed a plan. Maura was telling me she had to work in the morning but I could use anything I needed in the house. She tried to get me to explain but I just bawled my eyes out.

In the morning I would go to the hotel to get everything of mine, then I'd take the plane to Cheshire. I didn't tell Maura. I didn't even say anything, actually. I remember her waking me up in the morning, but telling me she'd be back later.

I stayed up when she left. I brushed my hair, untangling every knot. Soon it fell smoothly at my shoulders. I placed everything correctly back in place, and went to find a peice of paper. I grabbed a pen and a blank peice of paper.

Dear Maura, thank you so very much for taking me in. I appreciate it. I must go, I must'nt stay long. I'm catching the plane to England right after I get into the hotel room. I'm sorry to take up your space. -Piper Xx

I pulled my shoes off, ringing them dry. I began to walk down the street before a car pulled up.

"Piper?" I got scared, immediatley. I turned to see the familiar red car. I groaned and kept walking. "Piper, come in the car." I ignored him and kept walking. I walked the exact way I ran here last night. Niall was driving right next to me, and since I was walking he was driving incredibly slow. A car drove up behind him and honked.

"Niall get out of that cars way." I walked down the abandoned street. I turned as the street curled. I thought of maybe running down the woods, which were right there in my face, but I didn't. I was the woman, and the woman can be just as strong as the man.

"No, I won't move until you get in this car, and you let me explain." I knew I could run pretty fast. I ran faster than Niall, so I could outrun his car if I went the opposite way, right?

I turned my body around and looked for a way to run in the opposite way, but I couldn't. It didn't have a turning place for at least a mile. I stopped walking, and looked at Niall. He had his arm on the arm rest and he leaned over a seat. I felt around in my pocket for my phone, until I remembered I left it at the hotel. I gripped my arms to my side, trying to get any warmth. I groaned, and blocked my ears of anything Niall said. I kept walking, but soon started to jog. "Piper, I swear, just get in the car."

"No, I can't trust you anymore." I began to hyperventilate, and soon I began to cry. Niall said he loved me. He saved my life. He cheated on me.

"It wasn't what it looked like!"

I turned in my heels, and starred at the boy. How could I love him so much while he hurt me so much? "THAT'S WHAT EVERYONE SAYS, NIALL. THE GIRL TRUSTS HIM, LOVES HIM, LOVES HIM SO MUCH IF SHE HAD TO SHE'D DIE FOR HIM AND HE CHEATS ON HER AND SAYS 'OH, IT'S NOT WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE' BUT REALLY IT IS SO DON'T BULLSHIT ME." I threw my arm down at the ground, and fell. I laid on the ground, banging my head back and forth as hard as I could against the ground. I knew I wasn't to far from Maura's house. From Niall's mothers house.

"But I wasn't doing anything with her. She came to take my food order!"

"They do that on the phone!" I raised my hands up in disgust. "Niall, you cheated on me, you hurt me, Niall. You cheated on me when I trusted you most."

"Piper, I was ordering food. Get in the car, I'll prove it." I fidgetted with my hands for a minute, and decided to get in the car. I closed the door, but didn't buckle my seatbelt in. I really didn't care anymore. If I was dead, if I was alive, so what?

One day many years ago I had a conversation with a neighbor.

*Flashback*

Mrs. Higglebotts stood on her heeled shoes, the pointy part pointing to me, as if I should say something. "Hello, Mrs. Higglebotts." I squeezed my own hand behind my back, the sweat forming at the creases in my wrist.

"Hello Piper, how are you?" I didn't move at all. The woman put the shovel back into her gardener pocket. "You're so pretty." My cheeks spread out. I smiled so much my cheeks had to be red. "It'd be a tragedy if someone hurt you." She bent back down, picking a fresh onion root out. "Never harm yourself over someone else. He who harms himself, harms others."

I nodded, grabbing the blue bouncy ball that landed in her yard. I quickly ran off and back into my tiny yard.

"Get inside, right now," my stepdad bellowed. He slammed the screen door, hearing the slam. Mrs. Higglebotts smiled warmly, almost apologizing through her eyes. I waved good bye, and ran inside. "Bout damn time." His hand met my cheek, as I dropped the bouncy ball. I watched as my stepfather popped it, sticking a knife into its insides.

"Go cook." Mum pulled stepdad away, leaving me alone in the hall, with a skillet waiting for me to cook up some ramen noodles - the only thing we could afford.

*End*

"Reach for my hand, its held out for you."
