Koa spent the next long month gathering supplies and turning herself into a death weapon.
She went out every night killing walkers that walked by her car, she never wasted ammo however but she didn't need to train with a gun, she had all the practice in the world that her dad gave her, hoping to move from where they lived and go to a place where hunting was better but they never got to and so she and her father spent almost every weekend in the shooting range.
She was as deadly as a bullet and her stealth was the gun.
She never got bit and she never was scared after that first night of horrific dread, all emotion seemed to be simply gone from her mind and she started to believe she might be the last person alive until one fateful day.It had been quite some time since Koa had had to really go anywhere, and her supplies were in full stock.
She broke into the locked gas station that was already rummaged through before she got there, but some things stayed untouched like the gas cans all the way in the back and soap in the bathroom's.
Koa was incredibly useful and knew that soap would be a very important find and she had a very good source. She laid in her car listening to old CDs and whatever was left of any radio system, occasionally she heard people that got through to the radio and sent calls for help, sent threats, and sent more religions, that was the end of Koa thinking she was the last person alive but her beliefs would soon be more evident.
She lay on the top of her car, her long untamed blonde hair falling off the edge when she heard a walker.
Hopping of her car and grabbing her knife she walked right out in plain sight not expecting it to be a armed man with brunette like hair that she couldn't help but think looked like Jesus a little bit.He saw her and put his hands up at first, but when Koa pulled out the small gun she had stolen from the car he dropped one hand to the rifle on his hip.
"Woah, Woah there I'm no threat I promise." The man smirked as he said it, he reminded her of a type of sketchy sales man but she just thought he was insane.
Koa didn't really know how to respond, she hadn't talked to anyone in a very long time.
"You can just call me Jesus." The man said as he put both his arms down but not grabbing any of his guns as he proceeded to ever so calmly just walk towards Koa.
"Back the fuck up." Koa snapped as she clicked her gun.
"Listen, I am nothing but a trader, I am sent from my community to get supplies and surely your not taking this whole gas station to yourself?" Jesus said putting his arms back up.
"I- I mean- I'm not taking anything okay? I can't give you enough for your whole community but I can give you some."
Jesus looked shocked as his smile grew wider at her words.
"Wow, usually this doesn't go as well for me okay let's see."
Koa lowered her gun as a huge U-Haul truck sped and then slammed on the break infront of them, Koa pulling her gun out again and pointing while Jesus ran behind the station.A very weird looking pair came out, both looking like country men, one had short hair and a beard, while the other hand long dark hair and grey stubble but he wasn't old looking.
The one with the beard and very very blue eyes already had his gun on Koa, yelling something to the other man.The other man had a small revolver that he pulled out of his black leather jacket with the sleeves ripped off, revealing his very muscular arms that Koa noticed in between glances.
"Were not here to kill you, just need some supplies alright little lady?" The man with shorter hair said.
"I'm Rick Grimes, this is Daryl Dixon, we won't hurt you if you just share." Rick said, his blue eyes looking at the stocked station.
Koa was still with fear and she put her gun back in the holster, Rick doing the same but Daryl keeping it aimed.
"I don't have much really, I have what I need to survive." Koa said pitifully, she knew it wasn't really true but in a few days it would be.
"Were not asking for everything, just a couple supplies. You got any baby things?" Rick said, obviously trying to negotiate something.
"Just canned baby food and not alot of it in my car."
"You're pregnant?" Rick said looking at her stomach half expecting her to lie and he was prepared to inquire more.
"No, no god no, I keep it in case I meet someone that needs it more than the Raiders who will take anything just to take." Koa said having to laugh at the fact he thought she was pregnant although she had a very defined stomach.
"Yea well, we need it." Rick said trying not to sound as harsh as the words were.
"Wait, Rick you hear what she say?" Daryl said, lowering his gun now.
"Huh?" You could tell they were close, whatever relation they were.
"She done got a car!" Daryl's words brought a small smile to his face.
"Oh, hey tell me, that car of yours, it work?" Rick's southern accent was strong.
"Yea, I drove from I don't even know how far to here." Koa said realizing that this might be putting her in a situation where she would be left without the car she had stolen.
The men conversed for a little before there big U-Haul began to drive off, and you had completely forgotten about Jesus that was now driving the wheel of their fully supplied vehicle.
"Shit!" They both cursed and began chasing the big truck but you were quick to grab a gas can and run back out to your car.
Jesus had taken their wheel.
