Episode 11: Going Batty

Our episode picks up where the last one left off, with Domina opening the box containing Nile's cybernetic hand which twitches its fingers. the severed robo-hand then leaps out of the box and crawls around the floor for a bit before latching itself onto the unfortunate Black Dot grunt's hand like a glove causing him to become possessed. Domina asks what's going on, and the possessed grunt then speaks in a familiar voice: "so you must be Domino's mistress, glad to finally meet you face-to-face. sorry for your loss by the way". Domina asks him "who are you?" and the possessed grunt tells him "I am Nile, Kenyan bounty hunter, member of the pack, and last of the Nandi people". the four international leaders take a step back, Adewale exclaiming "Azari? but I thought you died!" Mayu asks him "you know this guy?" with Adewale saying "he was my nephew, once removed". Nile speaking through the black dot grunt explains to the other villains that he found a way to cheat death, as when he was being mauled by the Nandi bear he transferred his conscience into his robotic appendage allowing himself to survive without a body. the Nile-possessed grunt then walks away, saying that he's got business to attend to with some old friends. after that we cut to Animal X HQ where we see Natalie in her personal quarters brooding until Dominic enters her room who asks if he interrupted anything. Natalie tells him "not much". Dominic sits next to her asking "thinking about your old partner again aren't you" Natalie crosses her arms and turns her head away, not wanting to talk to him. Bill then calls her along with Tony and Cindy into his office with Bill informing our heroes that the pack has been spotted in the jungles of Java, Indonesia which is home of a cryptid known as the Ahool, Cindy asking Natalie "did he just sneeze?" Bill then explains shows off a holographic image of the Ahool, Bill explaining to our heroes that the Ahool is a gargantuan member of the pteropodidae (fruit bats) from Java with a 20-foot wingspan. Tony feels conflicted about the mission, mentioning that his sister's with the pack. Cindy corrects Tony, telling him "she's not your sister". Tony responds by telling her "that may be true, but she's technically still family". after that, we cut to the pack members Dingo, Gator, and Raptor trekking through the jungles of Java with Gator saying that he can smell that big bat from a mile away, however Raptor tells him that they can track it faster with her technology leading to the two butting heads, however Dingo tells them to be quiet as he hears something rustling in the bushes. a laser blast then shoots at the pack who dodge it and out steps the Nile-possessed Black Dot trooper who's transformed his cybernetic hand into a blaster. Gator then says "great, we've been followed by the Black Dot!" however the possessed grunt reverts his cybernetic appendage back into its original hand form and says "think again". Dingo takes a step back and says "that voice, It can't be!" followed by the possessed trooper saying "but it can! It's me Nile, your old partner. I've been dying to get my revenge on you for leaving me for dead!" followed by Nile's severed robo-hand detaching from the Black Dot grunt's arm to attach itself to Gator's arm. Gator then freaks out shouting "get it off me! get it off me!" before his body gets taken over by Nile before dual-wielding Gator's twin knives to attack both Dingo and Raptor with Dingo blocking the possessed Gator's blades with his shield before hitting him upside the head with his spear. Nile-Gator then gets up and attacks raptor only for Nile's robo-hand to detach itself from Gator and then latch onto Raptor's arm possessing her. the Nile-possessed Raptor presses a button on her wristwatch changing her red uniform with a dino footprint logo to a black one with a Nandi bear skull logo before attacking both Dingo and Gator with her laser whip forcing the two to retreat. After that, we cut to Natalie and Dominic being deployed from the X-van on hoverbikes that fly over the rainforest with both Tony and Cindy riding with Natalie holding onto her for dear life. Cindy closes her eyes and senses the presence of a cryptid, telling her that it's coming straight towards them followed by the Ahool flying towards our heroes forcing them to move out of the way. Dominic tells Natalie "we need to follow the creature, to make sure the pack don't get their claws on it" followed by the two descending down to the rainforest below where they run into Tanya and the Wallaby twins. Natalie and Jack shake hands, telling them "It's good to see you again". Dominic asks them what they're doing here, and Jack tells him "We're here to help you protect the Ahool from the pack, Marcus and Kira are in Alaska with Daniel and his father, and Delgado and Anton are in Mexico. as for why Tanya's here, my sister just wanted to bring her girlfriend" while Mindy and Tanya (who are holding hands) both wave at Dominic and Natalie. our heroes then hear the shrill cry of the Ahool and run through the jungle to see the giant bat being attacked by the Nile-possessed Raptor who has the beast in a chokehold, Natalie demanding Raptor to let the creature go while Tony asks "Nina?" however she then says "Actually it's Nile. I'm just borrowing her body" Tanya notices Nile's prosthetic hand attached to Raptor's hand, Tanya telling her fellow Animal X agents that somehow her brother's consciousness survived inside his robotic hand and can now possess people, Dominic asking "anyone, even one of us?" Jack saying that just makes him even more dangerous throwing one of his boomerangs at the possessed Raptor separating Nile's cybernetic hand from her arm causing her to regain consciousness and revert her suit back to its red color scheme, retracting her laser whip as she is forcefully knocked off the Ahool's back as it spreads its wings and lets out a loud shriek just as Gator and Dingo arrive on the scene to help Raptor back up, Dingo asking if she's back to being her normal self again. Raptor says "yeah, now let's do what we came here to do and slay that beast" and the three charge at the Ahool who turns around and blows them away with a gust of wind created by beating its giant wings. meanwhile Nile's robo-arm lunges at Cindy grafting itself onto her arm, Tony and Natalie shouting "NO!" Nile looking at his new host body realizing he just possessed the body of a child, but on the other hand the kid is an ESPer so this body will be of use to him. Tanya demands her brother to let Cindy go, but Nile says "sorry sister but this kid's power is just too good to give up" Nile using Cindy's ESPer powers to take control of the Ahool causing it to lower its head letting the Nile-possessed Cindy climb onto its back, Nile saying "if you excuse me I have some former comrades I need to give some much-needed payback" meanwhile in the ground below Gator tells Dingo that he's picked up the bat's scent again only for the Ahool to swoop down and grab both Gator and Dingo with its big bat feet, Dingo asking what's going on, and the Nile-possessed Cindy tells them that he plans on feeding them to the beast. Raptor then uses her laser whip to grab onto the Ahool's leg causing her to get lifted into the air as well, pressing the button on her whip causing it to electrocute the giant bat making it drop Dingo and Gator who are both caught by Raptor who tells them to hold on. the Nile-possessed Cindy turning her head to see Natalie, Dominic, Tony, Tanya, and the Wallaby twins on hoverbikes with Tony holding onto Natalie's back for dear life. Dominic then leaps off his hoverbike onto the Ahool's back extending his sword, Dominic telling Nile "let the girl go or I'll force you out myself" the claws on Nile's cybernetic hand extending as the two duke it out clashing blades Nile using Cindy's small size and agility to run and jump around Dominic to confuse him with Natalie reminding Dominic over intercom to not hurt Cindy or the Ahool. Mindy tells her brother that she and Tanya will try to get through to Cindy the two ladies grabbing onto Cindy forcing Nile's robo-hand to detach itself from Cindy causing her influence over the Ahool to wear off the giant bat taking a nosedive into the forest below causing the pack along with Dominic who grabs onto Natalie's hoverbike to save himself while Tanya, Mindy, and Cindy fall down into the jungle below. Cindy then wakes up to find herself in Tanya's arms with the Ahool trapped in the tree badly injured from the fall, its wings caught in tree branches. Tanya contacts Natalie, Dominic, and Jack informing them that Cindy's safe but they got an injured cryptid on their hands telling the three to get down here and rescue it. Jack asks "what about my sister, Tanya? is she safe?" however as the dust clears we see that Nile's robotic hand has now grafted itself onto Mindy this time, the Nile-possessed Mindy saying "It's about time the two of us settle the score sister, once and for all" Tanya then says "let Mindy go, Azari" Nile then says "I think not, the thought of killing my own half-sister in her girlfriend's body brings much pleasure to me" the two then charge at each other while Natalie, Tony, Dominic, and Jack arrive on the scene Tony blasting the trees with his shock gauntlets freeing the injured Ahool with Cindy using her ESPer powers to heal the creature while also calming it down. meanwhile Natalie, Dominic, and Jack turn their heads to see Tanya and Mindy beating each other up in a fist-fight Jack asking what's gotten into Mindy, Natalie telling him to look pointing to Nile's cybernetic hand attached to Mindy. we then see the Nile-controlled Mindy put Tanya in a chokehold telling her "any last words, sister?" only for Dingo and Gator to attack from behind indirectly saving Tanya. the two pack members then grab onto the Nile-controlled Mindy by the arms restraining her allowing Tanya to pull out her bow and shoot an arrow that pierces Nile's cybernetic hand pulling it off of Mindy's arm and pinning it to a tree. Raptor then grabs the hand and puts in in a jar, our heroes whipping out their weapons ready to duke it out with the pack, however Dingo sees the Ahool get up and spread its wings with Dingo saying "we'll finish this later, Animal X" before the three run away, Cindy touching the Ahool's nose telling the giant bat "you're safe now" prompting the Ahool to fly off into the rainforest canopy above while Tanya puts her arm around Mindy who thanks her girlfriend from freeing her from Nile's control, Tanya saying "I'm glad to have you back too" Tanya and Mindy kissing while Tony covers Cindy's eyes, saying "this is probably something you shouldn't see" before the X-van arrives on the scene to pick up Natalie and Dominic who wave goodbye to Tanya and the Wallaby twins who promise to keep an eye out for the pack and make sure the Ahool stays protected. the X-van then activates flight mode and blasts off, flying past the Ahool along the way. we then cut to the pack walking through the jungle only for them to get ambushed by Domina who steps out of one of the armored vehicles while the black dot grunts and silencers who point their guns at the three hunters, Domina telling the three that the pack are just as much an enemy of the black dot as Animal X, as they have attempted to claim the head of a beast that is rightfully hers along with every other cryptid on this planet. Dingo readies his spear while Gator readies his knives, Dingo asking "how did you find us?" and Domina says "my double agent tracked you here" followed by Agent N/Raptor pressing a button on her watch that reverts her red uniform back to its original black dot colors before walking over to Domina's side. Gator shouts "you traitor, you sold us out!" as they along with the jar containing Nile's severed hand are taken into custody by the black dot ending our episode on a cliffhanger.
