Chapter 11 - 12% Of A Plan

The two of us are ripped away from each other and taken to Yondu. My hands are restrained behind my back by two Ravagers, while Peter is only being held at gunpoint by Kraglin. We're shoved into the next room over, and there's Yondu.

The whole ship is here to see our fate as well. With his hands up, Peter slowly approaches Yondu. Without a word, Yondu points to him.
Two more men emerge from the crowd and grab both of Peter's arms and violently slam him into the wall. "Hey!" I exclaim. Yondu turns around, narrowing his eyes at me. "You don't get to speak, girl!" he spits. He looks at the two men restraining me. "If her eyes change a shade, knock her out," he instructs.

A hand pulls my face back so that my eyes are visible to the ones holding me. "You betray me?!" Yondu punches Peter in the jaw. "Steal my money?!" He delivers a punch to his gut. "STOP IT! LET HIM GO!" I scream, trying to escape the grip of the two men holding me.

They're all so goddamn lucky I can't control my powers yet! If I could, they'd all be dead in a second.
"When I picked you up as a kid, these boys wanted to eat you," Yondu spits. "They ain't never tasted Terran before. I saved your life!" "Oh, will you shut up about that? God!" Peter shouts. "Twenty years, you've been throwing that in our faces, like it's some great thing, not eating us. Normal people don't even think about eating someone else! Much less that person having to be grateful for it!"

A sullen expression spreads across Yondu's blue face, an expression I've seen many times when he's about to take out his arrow. I squirm and kick with all my might, but I can't get them to let go of me.

"You abducted me, man. You stole me from my home and from my family. You did the same thing with Y/N." "You don't give a damn about your Terra! And neither does she!" Yondu yells. "You're scared because you're soft in here." He points to his chest. "Here, right here!" He grips Peter's collar with both hands.

"Yondu!" I yell. "Listen! Ronan has the Orb. The Orb contains something called an Infinity Stone!" "I know what he's got, girl," he sneers.
"So, you know we have to get it back! He's gonna use it to kill everyone and everything in Xandar. If we don't do something about it, so many people will die that don't deserve it." Disgust twists up on Yondu's face.

"Have you learned nothin' that I ever taught you?" He walks up to me, pointing an accusatory finger at me. "Is that what your head has been filled up with? Sentiment?!" His hand slaps across my cheek, stinging my skin. "Eating away your brain like maggots!" He violently grabs the sides of my face. I wince in pain, but don't let any yelps escape. "It was my idea to steal from you in the first place!" Peter quickly blurts out.

Yondu lets go of me, eyes darting between Peter and me. They narrow for a moment, then they widen. Does he know about us..?

He stands in front of Peter, shaking his head. "That's it." He moves his jacket to the side, revealing his red glowing Yaka Arrow. With a sharp whistle, the arrow flies right up against Peter's neck.
"YONDU!" I yell out. "Don't you DARE!" Peter's eyes shift to me and he calmly shakes his head. "Not yet," he mouths to me. For some reason, this is just enough for me to calm down. He looks like he has a plan.
"Sorry, boy," Yondu says. "But a captain's gotta teach his men what happens to those what cross him." "Captain's gotta teach stuff!" Kraglin adds.

"If you kill me now," begins Peter. "you are saying goodbye to the biggest score you have ever seen." Yondu smirks. Then chuckles, "The Stone? I hope you got something better than that. Because ain't nobody stealing from Ronan."
"We got a ringer," Peter says. "Is that right?" "Her name's Gamora. We met her along the way. She knows everything there is to know about Ronan. His ships, his army." "She's back at Knowhere, I'm guessing," I add. "We could bring her here. She knows his weaknesses."
