In this AU, what if MK was born as a mermaid? Or more importantly, a mermaid princess?
When MK was a small young mermaid, the underwater city lived in was about to be destroyed as MK's parents gave MK an amulet so that no one will know she was a mermaid, thus after a heartful goodbye, they sent her to the surface as she watched her city with her parents and her people destroyed while trying to hold back her tears.
After she was fully transfered to the surface, she put on her amulet as she admired her new human legs, it took a while to get used to walking but eventually passed as she stared exploring the city, that is until she met Pigsy and Tang.
As the years went by from keeping a secret of being a mermaid princess while fighting demons as the Monkie Kid, which was tough since hiding her biggest secret from her friends and mentor while stopping demons at the same time was exhausting.
Until, someone accidentally knew her secret...
Tips in this AU:
-MK doesn't eat sea food, she sees the fishes from the sea as her friends
-She has all the mermaid abilities she had during her childhood like: Talking to animals, hydrokinesis (water controlling) and water healing
-She even have a lovely voice whenever she sings, but not like a siren-singing-trance type
-Also, MK had to wear her amulet 24/7 but if the amulet was taken off her, her legs would disappear as her mermaid tail would take place
-She only takes them off when she takes a bath or goes to the sea
-She can also control and create ice and snow since it's made out of water was well
-Her parents and Ao Guang had a close friend relationship
