Passing Notes

It was Monday. The weekend passed by too fast for Kou. He thought he'd get to relax over the short break, but too much happened in the last few days to allow him to do that. He couldn't stop thinking. About Freckle boy, Nishinoya, and of course

Stupid Kimura.

He made sure to avoid passing the bathroom and took a longer route to class. He successfully made it there without running into Ryusuke.

He was falling asleep during a lesson when he felt something small hit the back of his head, waking him up. He slowly turned around to see what it was. Nishinoya mouthed something to him. He furrowed his brows in confusion and picked up the paper that fell beside him on the floor.

It read:

you were falling asleep werent u water boy?

He wrote something down on the paper and threw it back.

fuck off!!!

He turned around to see nishinoya frowning. Nishinoya wrote something back and repeated the cycle.

Kou caught it and opened up the crumbled ball of paper.

why r u so mad? I did it as a favor.

The process repeated.

Nishinoya almost busted out into laughter during the deadly silent class when he saw the terrible attempt Kou made at drawing a middle finger. He quickly slapped his hand to his mouth to keep it held inside.

He wrote something down, trying his hardest to contain his giggles and threw the ball back.

Kou scoffed and whipped his head around at nishinoya. Noya snickered at him teasingly. He immediately started writing down another message. The boy enjoyed teasing Minami. It was ridiculously easy to get on his nerves.

He threw the ball harder this time. It hit Noya on his forehead, to which he leaned back trying to dodge it. It fell straight in his lap and he picked it up, opening it under his desk to read it.

nishinoya had a bright idea. he started drawing his own little doodle on the paper and sent it his way.

Kou checked to make sure the teacher wasn't looking before opening it.

His eyes widened when he saw the drawing
and the message.

Kou squeezed the paper in his hands. He turned around to look at Nishinoya, maintaining a deadpan face as he ripped it to shreds in tiny pieces.

Noya covered his mouth, holding back laughter. Minami looked at the teacher one more time before flipping him off discreetly. Noya just playfully stuck his tongue out.
