Donghyuck had given up. He couldn't deal with this by himself and what better than to use a skeptic like Renjun.

Mark's funeral was to be the day after and Mark still was stuck, prancing around the room or occasionally sitting in front of Donghyuck's computer and watching dramas and animes mindlessly. He guessed it was one of the perks of being stuck, he got to finish the shows he had started and would've never finished. That's why bingeing was good. You never know when you're gonna kick the bucket.

But Donghyuck needed help, he really wanted Mark to move on. Not just for Mark, but also for himself. He could feel himself slipping up and tripping up without Mark and he needed to start actually getting used to it rather than waiting for Mark to appear and scold him. So he decided to turn to his only logical friend.

But how on Earth do you convince a logical person that ghosts exist?

Renjun's eyes widened as he entered Donghyuck's darkened home. "What the fuck is this."
Donghyuck had laid out a ouija board on the table of his dining room, surrounding the area with pillar candles that were yet to be lit. He had followed all the protocols and even had an offering of chocolate for Mark. It looked ritualistic but that really was what he was going for. He had to prove to Renjun that he wasn't going completely insane.

Donghyuck inhaled as he closed the door behind him, causing Renjun to jump a bit. "I need to prove to you that ghosts are real."
"...what. Why?" Renjun blinked at him, looking at him as if he was thinking about different mental asylums he could check him into.
Donghyuck sighed, clasping his hands as he looked back at Mark who was sitting patiently on a chair next to the circle of candles, munching on the chocolate offering.  The younger boy turned back to his guest. "Mark is stuck here and he needs help. You are the person who's the most skeptical and you know the most about my ever so fucked up life. We need your help."
Renjun glanced over at the weird ass cultish setup. "And this is your way of proving it?"
Donghyuck clapped his hands with a smile, "what better way that ouija board, huh?" He clasped his hands together, staring up to ceiling with a strange smile. "A séance, how cute."

"I still think this is ridiculous, Hyuck," Mark mumbled as Renjun quietly sat down in another chair opposite Mark.
"Yeah, we all know what you think," Donghyuck snapped, freely speaking to Mark. As long as Renjun believed him in the end that's all that mattered. He wouldn't look insane in retrospect.
Renjun looked down, Donghyuck trying not to burst into laughter as the elder boy looked confused and slightly scared by the idea of Donghyuck talking to himself.

"Okay," Donghyuck started, taking the lighter in his hand and lighting up one of the pillar candles. He then carefully took the candle and lit the rest with it. He knew it would've been easier just to go around with the lighter but he was afraid that it would make an impact on what happened to their communication with the spirit in the room. Renjun watched him intently with anxious eyes, occasionally darting them around the house. Donghyuck had taken the liberty of drawing all the blinds and switching off the lights, the only light now coming from the gap in the side of the curtains, the shining of the street lights peeking through.

Donghyuck placed the glass planchette on the ouija board, Renjun carefully placing his hands on it himself. Slowly they moved it around to the letters. H-E-L-L-O. Donghyuck looked up to see Mark's eyes widen. "It's green."
Donghyuck furrowed his brows, "huh?"
Mark pointed at the board, "the board. It's green. Like glowing."
"Well what does that mean?"
"I don't know, I've never been a fucking ghost before."

Donghyuck grumbled as Renjun simply tapped his feet in anticipation. He looked less anxious as nothing was working which wasn't helping Donghyuck to be honest.
"Can you just try moving the fucking thing?" He whined. Mark shrugged, standing up from his seat and placing his hands on the planchette.
He tried to push the thing across the board, yet nothing. Mark looked up at Donghyuck. "Maybe let go?"
Donghyuck quickly moved his hands off the board, asking Renjun to do the same which he reluctantly did.

Mark once again tried to move the tiny wooden object, looking like he really was using all his might to move the damn thing. Donghyuck looked up to apparition struggling, chuckling slightly as Mark continued to try.
Renjun glanced up at Donghyuck and then to the area he was staring at and laughing. He furrowed his brows and looked back at his alive friend. "How's it going for him?"
Mark let out a high pitched whine as he struggled, now resorting to slapping the wooden piece. Donghyuck bit his lip as he tried to stop giggling. "He's...trying...so hard."

"Oh for fucks sake!" Mark screamed before trying to flip the entire board. This, both fortunately and unfortunately, worked well for him as it flipped and slammed into the wall. The impact caused the large grandfather clock to shake and the painting on the wall to fall crooked in its place. Mark slammed his hands on the table as Renjun yelped and fell off his chair, the young apparition falling to the floor in despair.

"What the fuck?!" Renjun yelled from the floor, looking back and forth between the ouija board and Donghyuck. The youngest of the lot sighed deeply, rubbing his temples before looking down at Mark who was busy whining.
"Mark..."
"YOU TRY MOVING THIS FUCKING THING! ITS FUCKIN HARD, MAN!"

Donghyuck sighed again before looking at Renjun. "Do you at least believe me now?"
Renjun's face dropped to a deadpan expression, "unless somehow you have telekinesis, I'm gonna fucking believe you." He snapped his fingers at him, "for now at least."
Donghyuck breathed out in relief. He gave a final nod before glancing down at the table. "Good enough. Cause after the twat's funeral, I need help."
