"THIS IS BULLSHIT," Jaemin growled, kicking over the table in front of him before huffing loudly. Jisung flinched, grabbing onto Chenle's arm on reflex, Chenle immediately pulling him closer for comfort.
Jaemin paced around, running his hand through his hair in frustration.

As everyone watched in slight fear, Jeno quietly approached him and engulfed him in his arms from behind. "Nana, it's okay."
Luckily, being Jaemin's one weakness in this godforsaken world, Jaemin just slumped into Jeno's arms, glaring down at the wall. His jaw tightened but he couldn't do anything else than listen to Jeno.
"Just cause it's not the end, doesn't mean we didn't gain anything. We still got information." Jeno turned Jaemin around, the younger one still frowning. "We have a new name and a possible location. Come on, that's really good."
He cupped Jaemin's face with his hands, Jaemin noticeably melting into his touch. Jeno smiled, shrugging a little. "And besides you got the lovely privilege of killing a whole lot of lunatics." And with that he squashed Jaemin's cheeks.

Jaemin broke into a small fit of giggles, nodding and sighing a bit with everyone else. Jaemin was something else when he was angry and the breakthrough of a Nana smile meant everyone could unclench.

Except for Donghyuck of course, who was still too mortified by the blood that stained his top.

Renjun was still trying to comfort him as he came to terms with what he had done to the man, Cha Inyeop. He only had a few flecks on his clothes, but he couldn't help but still see it all over his hands and body.

Cha Inyeop had turned out to be an underboss of sorts, a second in command to deal with things first hand while the real man hid. It was surprisingly easy to get to him, just a quick meeting. And now...well now he was dead, done by the hands of Na Jaemin once again.
Donghyuck hadn't paid much attention to the whole ordeal if he was being honest. All he thought at the time was that it was the man responsible.

He was wrong, obviously, very wrong in fact, but it was a high enough person to alert suspicion of course. Not that it bothered Jaemin though. Quite frankly, Donghyuck was surprised they weren't on the run right now, but Jaemin had said not to worry and they were just blindly following him.

All Donghyuck needed to know was whether or not he could still take the bus home, you know?

But that didn't matter as right now it seemed that Donghyuck had stabbed someone.

"Donghyuck, he had it coming anyway," Renjun reasoned, "hell if they didn't take away all the weapons at the front, I would've stabbed him."
Jeno scoffed slightly, still clinging to and swaying Jaemin in his arms, Jaemin cuddled to his chest. "Did you even get them all back?"
"No," Renjun huffed, standing and walking over to the table (the one Jaemin hadn't kicked over) with all their belongings and grabbed his coat. He then turned it upside down and shook it. A cascade of who knows how many knives and daggers fell from the pockets inside and out onto a heap on the table. Renjun always thought that his hobby of collecting seemed to have gone to waste, so he was delighted when they said to bring any sharps he had. Unfortunately, they were all confiscated immediately upon entry. As if they wouldn't confiscate weapons when meeting one of the heads of an organised crime unit.

Renjun pouted as he looked down upon his collection. "They stole one of my fucking daggers."
Jisung glanced at the pile on the table with pursed lips. "...well I wouldn't have known."
Renjun shot him a glare, Jisung immediately trembling in his spot and apologising. He didn't want to be on the other side of any of those. Or all of them.

Jaemin chuckled slightly, breaking away from Jeno. "Andddd they didn't steal it." he walked over to Renjun with smile, taking a tiny dagger out of his pocket and giving it to him.
Renjun eyes lit, swiftly taking the dagger from Jaemin and admiring it with a bright smile. "Oh my fuck, thank you. I fucking love you, dude," he tossed the dagger into the pile before squeezing Jaemin tightly in a hug.
Jaemin chuckled weakly, turning his head slowly to Donghyuck. He shut his eyes, mouthing "absolutely fucked, I tell you," to the boy. Donghyuck momentarily raised his eyebrows suggestively as Jaemin turned back to Renjun and squished his cheeks. "Any time, darling."

As Renjun, all smiley and happy, went to put all his weird ass trinkets back in his pockets, Donghyuck simply took a deep breath as he noticed arms enveloping him from behind.
"You know, despite it being the wrong person, I'm still really grateful, baby bear."
Donghyuck turned his head up at Mark with a faint smile, "Yeah?"
Mark hummed, pressing a peck on the side of Donghyuck's head, "Yeah."
"Even...even if it makes me more like..."
Mark chuckled, nuzzling his side, "Even if it's not the kind of person you want to be." The apparition shrugged, turning to face Donghyuck, "He was a bad guy anyway, and it's not like you were the one who actually killed him, so you get a free pass."
Donghyuck broke into a small silly smile, the burden now weighing only a little more than the ghost hanging off his shoulder. "Thank you, hyung."

"Gosh, can we turn that off?" Jisung fake gagged in his spot as he referred to the machine that everyone had naturally tuned out the screeching noise of.
Jeno rolled his eyes, now sat on top of the table with Renjun's dagger jacket. "As if you're not clung to Chenle right now."
"Hush, old man," Jisung sneered, pouting now with his head resting on top of Chenle's.

As the rest of the boys chuckled and bickered with one another, Donghyuck continued to glance down at his hands, an unnerving feeling creeping back up his spine as he recounted.

"I'm sorry that this happened to you."
"Liar."
"I truly am, I'm not the one who ordered this. It was cruel and unjust."
"Obviously."
"I'm sorry, is there anything we can do, Donghyuck. The man who did this unfortunately was killed but if there's anythi-"
"You killed a fucking child, Mr Cha. You killed my best friend."
"I did not kill anyone-"
"It's all your fault, and now I can't do anything about that."
"..."
"Tell me why you work such a shit ass job, huh? Tell me what's so good about this?"
"Donghyuck-"
"Tell me why you had to kill Mark Lee, just fucking give me an answer, why does no one give me an answer."
"I didn't kill-"
"Liar."

Donghyuck swallowed, the sound of flesh being violently torn into echoing in his head as he unclenched his shaking hands, seeing red form in the cuts he had made on his hands.
