As soon as the door to Gryffindor common room, swing open, Emelie's cheerful lord deflated. She looked at Harry, Ron, and Hermione who stood mournfully near the fireplace
"Bartemius Crouch Snr. is dead" Harry said. Emelie's eyes widened.
"What? How?". Emelie scrambled up to them worriedly.
"In the Forbidden Forest, Harry found him," Hermione said. Emelie did a double take.
"But I was just in the Forbidden Forest with Cedric and I didn't see anything. How is that possible?". Harry shrugged.
"We don't really know but somehow all this is connected. My scar hurting, Bartemius Crouch Snr. dying, and Sirius's letter. All we need now is who killed Crouch". Emelie perked up at this with an idea.
"It could have been Moody He was acting so distracted today, he looked like he was planning something" she suggested. Hermione shook her head.
"No, I doubt it.There's something a bit deeper here".
"And a lot more darker", Harry added causing Emelie to shift her attention to him.
"You don't think...?", she asked.
"That's exactly what I'm thinking". Emelie sighed. She knew You-Know-Who probably had something to do with this but she didn't think it'd be so sudden.
While the trio continued pondering about the whole situation, Emelie could only think of Cedric and how he'd told her he loved her.
She knew though, that she had to stop being lost up in the clouds now and protect her friends or else the end of the year might go the opposite of how she wanted it to.
The end of the year was the opposite of what it should be.
