Then You Came Along (L.S)

Chapter 7 🌻

It was the morning of Luke's Birthday and Harry and Niall had gone into town. What do you buy a 30 year old? Niall asked as they walked into the 3rd store. " I need food Harry mate."
The answer to that question was no idea. Although both Harry and Niall were 28 they had no idea what to get someone they'd only met a couple of times.

They both decided that food was a good idea and headed to Gregg's so they could eat on the go. "Sausage roll and a large latte" Harry ordered, standing to one side as Niall looked at the pasties and cakes trying to decide. "I'll have two sausage rolls, a white chocolate cookie and a hot chocolate please" he ordered.  "Don't judge me im starving Harold." Harry just shook his head "who's judging" he giggled, before they both left the shop to continue their mission.

Thay had returned home at around 2pm with nothing but two birthday cards and a new shirt Harry had bought to wear that evening. They both decided to put money in their cards as they had done nothing but disagree over everything.

They arrived at the restaurant were they were met by Nick, He had seperated half of the restaurant off for Lukes guests and directed them over to where there was a group of people gathered in the far corner.
"Hi, Im Peter" an older gentleman greeted them. "I'm Luke's dad and this is Helen his mum." "Pleased to meet you both, Im Harry and this is Niall." They both shook hands before looking around. "No Luke yet?" Niall asked Peter. "No not yet, he'll be here soon. He's arriving with some friends of his from Doncaster.
As he said this a cheer was heard and there he was walking over to the party with Zayn, Liam and another guy who Harry was guessing must be Louis.

"Hi everyone thanks for coming."Luke said with a huge smile on his face. He walked over and greeted everyone with hugs and handshake. "Niall, Harry come over let me introduce you to a few people." They both walked over grabbing their second drink from a tray that was placed on one of the tables.
"This is Keira, Jess and Lisa they're friends from back in my Uni days, you know Zayn and Liam already and this over here is my good friend Louis." "Nice to meet you" they both said.
Keira gave them each a hug before commenting on how amazing Harry's hair was. "I love your curls im so jealous" she said "Erm thanks" Harry said shyly looking a little embarrassed. "Leave him be," Luke now dragged the boys off to meet with some of the other guests.

Everyone was having a great night and the drinks were flowing. Luke had invited guests from the restaurant whom had been chatting to him throughout the evening.
As the remainding guests of the restaurant left Nick locked the door and turned the music up. "Now its my time to join the party" he shouted and grabbed himself a drink from the bar.
Keira, Jess and lisa had decided to move some of the tables to the side of the room to create a dance area and was now dragging people up to dance. Niall was the first one to join them before a few more of the guests joined them on the makeshift dancefloor.

"You not dancing?" a voice said from behind were Harry was sitting, laughing at Niall whilst he was trying to dance to Beyonce. He turned around to see the blue eyed boy. "Is it okay to sit?" he gestured to the seat next to Harry. "Yeah sure" he replied and pulled the chair out.
Zayn, Liam and Luke were also up now putting a show on for everyone with their amazingly bad moves.
"Looks like fun" Louis was laughing at the scene. "why are you sat here on your own?" Harry mentioned he was out of practice after being in a relationship ten years and not really getting out much. "Wow i sound like a right bundle of fun don't I?" Harry said quietly but Louis was able to hear him. Louis stood up and reached out his hand, "come on lets show them how its done." Harry took Louis hand and followed him to the dance floor.

Harry and Louis danced the rest of the night. only stopping to take shots which Niall kept bringing over to them.

"I've had a great night" Harry said has he sat back down with Louis before the rest of the guys joined them. "Me too" Louis replied. "I know how hard it is to get yourself back out there, heres my number, message me whenever you like ok?" They exchanged numbers and then said their goodbyes.

Once Harry got home he pulled out his phone to message Niall he was home, when he received a message from Louis

Louis - Did you get home ok? X

Harry quickly messaged Niall he was home and safe so he wouldn't be worring before going back to reply to Louis.

Harry - Hi, yes back home now, rooms spinning a little but well worth it, I had a great night thank you.

Louis - I had a great night too, Im heading back to Doncaster Monday, do you wanna grab lunch tomorrow?

Harry - Sounds good, text me details in the morning.

Louis - Will do, sleep well x

And with that Harry fell asleep
