Camila's Point Of View
The sun rose on a new day, pouring a golden glow through the floor-to-ceiling windows of the luxurious bedroom.
I woke up feeling refreshed, the soft mattress and fluffy pillows cradling me in comfort. I stretched and took in my surroundings, a sense of peace washing over me in the comfort.
I swung my legs over the edge of the bed and padded toward the windows, drawn by the breathtaking horizon.
The world outside shimmered with the promise of a new beginning.
My mind drifted to Ava and a pang of worry knotted in my stomach at the thought of her. I knew she must be anxious about my whereabouts.
I needed to reach out and reassure her that I was safe.
Just as I was immersed in my thoughts, a gentle knock on the door broke through my moment of tranquility.
"Come in," I muttered, my voice still thick with sleep.
The door creaked open, revealing the housekeeper from the previous night, a warm smile gracing her face as she entered with a delicate cup on a saucer.
"Good morning, ma'am," she greeted politely, the morning sun highlighting her cheerful demeanor.
"Good morning," I replied, returning her smile, my spirits lifting a little more.
"Here is a nice cup of coffee to start your day, ma'am."
I couldn't help but pout. "Thank you for the kind gesture, but I don't drink coffee."
Her lips formed an 'O' shape in surprise.
"I didn't know that. I'm sorry! I'll get you flavored tea instead?"
I chuckled at her eagerness and shook my head.
"Don't stress yourself."
"Of course, ma'am. You have a meeting with Sir Luciano at ten a.m. Your essentials have been provided and arranged in your closet."
I raised an eyebrow. So he finally shows up after leaving me alone in the mansion all day? I huffed inwardly.
"Have a nice day," she said with a curt bow before making her exit.
As I approached the closet, I swung the door open, and my mouth dropped in astonishment.
It was filled with stunning dresses, designer shoes, and an array of accessories that sparkled under the light.
"Wow!" I murmured, running my fingers over the luxurious fabric. He really went this far to keep me comfortable?
Though the thrill of it all was intoxicating, caution knocked me. I had to remember not to get ahead of myself. Taking a deep breath, I pulled out a lovely outfit that caught my eye.
