I slipped into a brown turtleneck dress that clung to my figure, pairing it with elegant pair of heels.

Luciano was already waiting for me downstairs.

The moment I descended, he wrapped his arm around my waist, guiding me out. We reached his garage, where a stunning fleet of cars was meticulously arranged by color.

"Wow, this is so cool," I gasped.

"Which one do you want to ride in?" he asked.

I gaped at him, surprised. "You really want me to choose?"

"If I didn't want you to choose, I wouldn't have asked, would I?" he replied with a sarcastic edge.

I rolled my eyes, and instantly, his grip tightened on my chin, his eyes darkening with anger.

"Gem, you keep adding to your offenses. You know how much Daddy hates it when you roll your eyes, and you've been doing it since you got back. I hope you're keeping track of your attitude because I won't go easy on you. Understood?"

His words sent a rush through me, my body betraying me as my pulse quickened and heat pooled in my pussy.

"Luciano," I moaned his name, eyes fluttering shut, pleading. He delivered a sharp slap to my ass, making me wince at the sting.

I chose a gray SUV, and we got in and drove off. When we arrived at the destination, Luciano held me close as we walked inside.

All the employees were dressed ruggedly in black or gray, and I didn't need to be told where we were—I could feel it in the air.

He led me to an elevator that went down instead of up. That alone was intriguing. The corridor we stepped into looked like it was built entirely of metal—cold, dim, and ominous.

"Gem, would you like to wait for me in my office? I'll be back once I'm done," he suggested, holding my arms and staring straight into my eyes.

"Where are you going?" I asked, though deep down I already knew. I just needed to hear it.

"Don't you already know the answer to that?" he said, raising a brow.

"C-Can I come with you?" The words slipped out before I could stop them. That's when I knew I had officially lost my mind.

"Gem, are you sure? There'll be blood and—"

"I knew what I was getting into when I accepted you, Luciano. Besides, I have to get used to this if we're going to be together," I said, my voice steadier than I felt.

Inside, I was a nervous wreck at the thought of watching someone get tortured. But if this was my place in his world, I needed to adjust.

"You don't have to, dolcezza. I never intended to take away all of your innocence," he whispered gently.
