Villains and heroes. Sidekicks and apprentices. Both fight each other. Sidekicks become heroes and then make more sidekicks. Apprentices become villains and make more apprentices. It's a horrible cycle that needs to be broken. That doesn't mean either side has to be happy about it.

It was a nice day. Kids were playing in the park while parents were making burgers on their grills. It was perfect. Until it wasn't.
The birds chirping were interrupted as people ran and screamed. A cold breeze blew in as an ice gun was fired at any person it could reach. Mr. Freeze stood on his makeshift mountain of ice holding his gigantic freeze ray.
"Enjoying family time?" Mr. Freeze asked before he freezed a nice family who was just enjoying their day. "My family has other plans."
Mr. Freeze slid down on the slope that the family had made as they froze. He was about to fire it again when a batarang knocked him off balance and another one knocked it out of his hands.
"Batman." Mr. Freeze grumbled as he grabbed the gun. "I was wondering when-"
He pointed his gun behind him and found the park empty as it was before. A laugh echoed through the space as Robin landed on Mr. Freeze's helmet pushing off to knock him down. Justice following after as she pushed off his back. They both threw their own batarangs at his helmet cracking it. He sneered back at them.
"Oh, Boy and Girl Wonder. The Bat sent you to drag me off to prison?" Mr. Freeze asked as he stood back up. "Frankly, I'm underwhelmed."
"Great, but we're kind of in a hurry here." Robin said impatiently standing in front of Mr. Freeze, Justice giving Robin a teasing glance.
"Boy Wonder, you really need to work on your bedside manner." Justice said before looking back over at Mr. Freeze.
"Kids- always in such a rush." Mr. Freeze said in a condescending manner aiming his gun again.
"Not talking to you." Justice said both her and Robin's eyes focused on a figure behind him.
Batman leaped into the air just as Mr. Freeze turned around his eyes wide as Batman shattered his helmet with a single punch.

"Why couldn't we get a cool ice villain to fight?" Cori asked her mentor as she waited at the top of the hill, waiting for the others to arrive.
"At least you get to tell Robin you were the first here." Black Canary said while she leaned against a tree. "Plus the fact that there isn't a villain for us to fight should prove how superior we are."
