They were all speechless as they looked at the boy in the glass. He was their age and he was wearing a white bodysuit with Superman's symbol in red on his chest. His eyes were closed and he had three of the mini Genomorphs above his head.
Wally walked closer to the glass, all of them intrigued. Karina wouldn't say she was excited about this revelation. "Big 'K', little 'r', the atomic symbol for Krypton."
"Clone?" Andrew asked looking around at everyone else.
"Robin and Karina, hack." Priya said not even having to suppress the shiver at asking a villian to do something as a team. Karina didn't seem to mind the order, might have been because she was already planning on doing that.
Side by side the two of them typed on the separate keyboards while the others waited for some more information on Superman's twin. Together they were able to pull a video file and some information.
"Weapon designation Superboy, A clone force-grown in.." Dick explained faltering at the last 2 words.
"16 weeks." Karina said, her voice colder than before. "From DNA acquired from Superman."
They could all sense her sudden change. She wasn't standing as confident and she didn't have that same emotionless facade. She glanced at the clone, she had acquired that DNA. She didn't even know he was doing this, she just knew he was hiding something from her.
"Stolen from Superman." Priya corrected with her arms crossed. She didn't like how unprepared she was for this, Cori was feeling the same way.
"No way the big guy knows about this." Pandora said her gaze locked on the clone.
"Solar suit allows him to absorb yellow sun radiation 24/7." Dick continued to read off.
"And these creatures?" Andrew asked pointing at the three hoovering above Superboy in the tube.
"Genomorphs Gnomes, telepathic, force-feeding him an education." Karina explained looking at her own screen.
"And we can guess what else." Cori said getting a nod from Wally.
"They're making a slave out of, well, Superman's son." Fleur said disgusted, even she wouldn't stoop that low. She hoped Ivy wouldn't either. Pandora and Andrew made eye contact, they both know their mentors would love to make a slave out of Robin, or Justice.
"Now we contact the League." Kaldur said pressing the buckle on his belt, for the first time not getting any protests from any of the heroes or villains. It just glowed but nothing happened.
"No signal." Dick said a minute too late.
"We're in too deep. Literally." Wally said while slight panic started to seep in. A hiss made them all look over and see the horns of the creatures were all glowing red. They didn't think too much into it.
