On the 12th hour of the first day of October 1989, 43 women around the world gave birth.
This was unusual only in the fact that none of these women had been pregnant when the day first began.
Sir Reginald Hargreeves, eccentric billionaire and adventurer, resolved to locate and adopt as many of the children as possible.
He thought they were, Extraordinary!
He got eight.
Many years later...
Number Five, was one of the forty-three children who were all born on the 12th hour of the first day of October 1989 to mothers without any previous signs of pregnancy. The baby was one of eight adopted by Sir Reginald Hargreeves with the intention of training them to save the world. Five possessed the ability to time travel and ended up trapped in the future as an old boy, where he discovered that the world was in ruins. He eventually returned to The Umbrella Academy years later with a message that the world was due to end in eight days. While attempting to save his family, things took a turn when trying to transport them back to a time before the apocalypse.
Which brings us to our current predicament...
