30. Not Alone

"He didnt do it." Podrick said confidently as Storm lay curled up next to him. "I know he wouldnt." Storm nodded softly as she wrapped her hand around his waist. "He is going to be alright, right?" Storm looked up at him resting her chin on his chest. 

"I don't know." She admitted. "I don't know anything about this world..." Podrick ran his hands through her hair as she rested her cheek on his chest. 

"You are not alone here." Podrick reminded her. "You have me, I will keep you safe."

"I think I'm quite capable of taking care of myself." Storm remarked softly. Podrick nodded in agreement. Storm was skilled and talented beyond compare. 

"I'm here for you, who knows maybe they open a portal thing and you go flying back in the night and I never see you again. Your family seems capable." Podrick remarked. 

"We havent worked as a team in years, they are going to be... I saw Diego... I don't know where they were, what time they were in but I saw him. He looked good, not broken and bloody... Being here..." Storm sat up looking down at him. "I havent felt like this in a long time, maybe ever." Storm informed Podrick. "If I'm stuck here forever then I'm glad I'm with you." 

"We can be each others family." Podrick told her. 

"I would like that."

Tywin of the house Lannister hand of the king protector of the realm will sit as judge in my stead.' Tommen said and with that Tommen left the court his knights following after him. Tywin sat at the throne.

'Tyrion of the house Lannister you stand accused by the queen regent of genocide. did you kill King Joffrey?' Tywin questioned his son.

'No.' Tyrion answered confidently.

So the trail began.

"This feels like a tv show, law and order maybe, or Bull! Oh I love that show," Storm remarked. "You are going to love television." She informed podrick. "And food, real food, ice cream and pizza and-"

"Storm," Podrick laughed out as he tried to hush her.

'You examined King Joffrey's corpse. Was it without question poison that killed him?' Tywin asked the maester

'Without question.' he answered 'this was found on the body of Dantis hollard the kings fool.' The master pulled a necklace out of his robes. 'he was last seen spiriting Sansa Stark the wife of the accused away from the feast she wore this necklace.' He held it out, 'the day of the wedding the residue of the most rare and terrible poison was found and it.'

"I saw that man running away with sansa." Storm whispered. ''Poor girl looked terrified, I don't know that it was a willing kidnapping but she did want to get out of the capital."

'Was this one of the poison stolen from your store?" tywin questioned

'It was. The strangler.' he told them.

"The strangler, thats fun." Storm remarked. 

"Not for the prince." Podrick countered. 

 'a poison few in the seven kingdoms possess used to strike down the most noble child the gods ever put on this good earth.' he told the council

'I will hurt you for this, the day will come when you think you are safe and happy and your joy will turn to ashes in your mouth and you will know that the debt is paid.' Cersei told them

'Your own brother said this to you?' Mace asked

'Shortly before the battle of Blackwater Bay I confronted him about his plans to put Joffrey on the front lines. As it turned out when the attack came Joff insisted on remaining at the battle he believed his presence would inspire the troops.' Cersei lied.
