The before and after of Jabitha's first time.

Tabitha hated messes, and the layer of cardboard moving boxes covering the floor shouldn't have been any exception. Still, seeing them ignited a sense of pride within her, knowing that she was taking steps in her life and moving in with her first boyfriend since high school.

After she endured a painful break up during her senior year, she knew with resounding certainty that she never wanted to feel that kind of heartbreak again. So, she put her feelings aside and focused on studying to become a businesswoman, never letting anyone close enough to hurt her. That was until she met Jughead. Initially, she wanted to be a friend to him, sensing that he was lost, just like she had been mere months beforehand. Soon afterwards she realised that she was catching feelings; and it scared her. But something about him put her so at ease, making her feel as though she could do anything. That was why, on an unusual impulse, she asked him to move in with her, and much to her joy he agreed.

"Tabby, do you think we should call it a night? I'm starved."

Jughead's voice cut through her reminiscing as he strode out of their bedroom, smiling sweetly at her.

She laughed affectionately as he collapsed onto the stiff, plastic chair they'd placed in the corner of the room.

"Did you set the bed up?"

"You know I'm not sleeping on an air mattress," he announced dramatically, "So yes."

"And I've readied the kitchen for us to cook tonight. What are you feeling, burgers?"

He gave her two thumbs up, patting his lap and holding his arms out. Climbing into his embrace, Tabitha felt a sense of cosy warmth overcome her body. She sighed, straddling his hips and carelessly brushing his fringe back with her fingertips.

"What are we going to do tonight, without anything unpacked?" she asked.

Jughead smirked, his eyes darting down to her chest for a split second. He placed his hands over her shoulder blades, coyly fiddling with the pale blue straps of her singlet. "I have some ideas."

"What do you have in mind?" she replied.

He picked Tabitha up, causing her to giggle in surprise as he pressed a gentle trail of kisses along her jawline.

"Bedroom?"

The only response he received from his girlfriend was a soft moan of approval against his skin, so with that, she wrapped her legs around his waist, and he carried her out of the room.

..

Jughead stretched the fresh sheets over the bed, throwing the dirty set out into the already cluttered hallway. His girlfriend lay curled on the soft, woollen carpet of the floor with a blanket wrapped around her hips, hugging a pillow to her bare chest as she watched him.

"Y'know Jughead, for all of your flaws, you really can be a gentleman when you want to be."

He smirked, tossing a half empty water bottle in her direction.

"What flaws? Haven't we established that I'm perfect in every way?" he teased.

She took a sip, laughing tiredly and standing up.

"Are you still hungry? I could get dressed and whip us up those burgers we were talking about?"

"Don't bother, I've already eaten enough tonight." Jughead licked his lips teasingly, "Besides, I like you better without clothes on anyway."

Giggling, Tabitha leaned in to peck him on the lips, dropping the pillow and blanket she was using to cover herself in the process.

"My eyes are up here, Jones."
