Jabitha count down to New Years.

Tabitha and Jughead embrace in their booth at Pop's while sharing a platter of fries, tired from an evening of dancing and spending time with their friends. The clock on the wall makes an audible ticking noise as it counts down. Although the couple aren't the only people in the diner, they're completely focused on each other; madly in love.

"One minute left everybody," Pop calls from behind the counter. He smiles as he watches everyone enjoying their New Year's Eve, from couples, groups of friends and even one stray trucker he's taken to chatting while he finishes his pie. Yet nothing compares to the sight of Jughead and Tabitha. The way they're cuddled up, heads together and arms intertwined is peak romance, Pop thinks. They both look happier than he's seen either of them in years.

As the clock ticks down, everybody chants.

10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1.

When the countdown ends, Jughead and Tabitha press their lips together, her arms around his neck, and his on her waist. A stream of confetti flies over their heads, shot by an excited young family in the booth beside them.

"Happy New Years, Jug. I love you."

"I could say the same to you, Tab. This year's going to be our year."
