The moment her ability to speak came back, Dani was yelling.

It had been a good forty-five minutes of her on the floor with Stiles picking shards of shattered glasses from her hair, telling her everything. The night before school had started, Stiles had dragged Scott and her brother out to the woods to look for the half of the missing body. The body that later turned out to be that of Laura Hale, and through an odd series of events he revealed that Scott and Hayes were bitten by a werewolf. This, in turn, led to them becoming werewolves themselves; hence the odd facial hair, eyes and claws she'd seen.

He explained that Allison's family was part of a long line of supernatural creature hunters which was why her father disapproved of her relationship with Scott so heavily. Apparently to the point where he had tried to kill him. He explained that the death of Allison's aunt, Kate, was because she had been a rogue hunter that had worked outside of their moral code and had subsequently gotten her throat ripped out by an alpha for it.

Apparently, she was the one who had set the Hale house on fire all those years ago, and had burned the house and majority of that family — a werewolf family — alive. Kate had manipulated Derek Hale, the son of the previous alpha who at the time had only been a teenager still in high school. Derek Hale was also the one who had picked Scott up at school the day Isaac was arrested.

That had Dani fuming, but as she still couldn't speak she was forced to listen to Stiles ramble on about how the alpha that had turned Hayes and Scott — Peter Hale, who was Derek's uncle — had be the thing that attacked Lydia that night at their prom the week earlier. He had been what caused the injuries that landed her in the hospital and now they were all worried that because she had been scratched by an alpha, they were worried she would become a werewolf.

Or something.

Half an hour into the conversation Hayes and Scott had walked into her room looking completely unscathed and looking normal, but frowning because they had lost the creature. They had listened silently as Stiles rambled on with his explanation, telling her how the thing that attacked them in the school that night was Peter Hale, the alpha that had bitten them.

Her brother mentioned how the man had the personality of toothpaste mixed with orange juice, which had her grimacing, and then almost crying in relief at the fact that she was slowly able to move again. It was twenty minutes after that when her voice came back, and then she lost it.

"You went looking for a dead body in the middle of the woods with no supervision? Without the murderer having been caught? Without any idea of what you were looking for? Are you three stupid?" Dani demanded, looking the three boys over with narrowed brown eyes.

Stiles blinked uncertainly at her. "No—"

"—wrong answer," she cut him off sharply.

She couldn't move, but her tone did the job. "Yes, we are," Hayes spoke up obediently, though he was squinting holes through his friends heads. He was telling them to agree. "We're great big idiots."

"There isn't a single brain cell between the three of you," she confirmed, dangerously pointing a finger over the three of them. Her hands were still numb but they moved, so she used that to her advantage. Scott opened his mouth to say something, but she frantically waved her hands in the air to cut him off. "I need you to stay completely silent right now because I need to yell and be angry and I know you're going to say something reasonable and I can't have that."

Scott nodded slowly and closed his mouth.

Even though she was focused on him she could see her brother lean over to Stiles and immediately was looking to them: "if either of you are comparing me to Molly Weasley screaming where have you been you're grounded."
