"Look, I know we agreed on not being together anymore." Chan looked down. "But I cant be without you, okay?"
"Chan, I really need to get back to work-"
"No one is here, Felix. It's okay if you don't want to talk, but I miss you."
I looked down, stepping away. "I don't know, okay? You know how bad I am at making decisions."
He walked behind the counter where I was standing and grabbed my hand.
"You cant be back here!"
"Tell me you don't want to talk, if you don't, Felix."
I couldn't bear to take my hand away as he looked into my eyes.
"I want to, Chan. But I don't want the same thing that happened before, to happen again."
"Felix I dont want to think of that. I just know how much I miss you. Can we... get dinner tonight?"
"Tonight? I'm hanging out with Jisung. Errrr...." I looked at our hands as he ran his thumb over my palm. "You know? He can wait. He'll understand, I'm sure."
"Perfect." He smiled at me and I did whatever I possibly could to avoid eye contact with him.
I was still in love with him. Of course I was.
