If you ever saw that episode, then you must know about Canandaigua Academy Senior Courtney Wagner, who got on the show thanks to the support from faculty and students all around the area, including students from my school. Courtney Wagner was diagnosed with an aggressive form of brain cancer on September 9th, 2011 called glioblastoma. Yeah, cancer. I actually had an experience with cancer, second hand. My Uncle from my mother's side got Leukemia TWICE, and he is a survivor. He had a bone marrow transplant, and now he's better. Courtney is still with us, and she is a fan of Ellen DeGeneres.
I'm getting this from my school's student newspaper, so bear with me. Apparently, Courtney wanted to meet Ellen, and thanks to the support and the hashtag (I don't know it, sorry) she got onto Ellen. And, not only did she get to Ellen herself, Courtney was also interviewed and called down. AND, Courtney got a video message from the National Women's Soccer Team, then after she and Ellen watch Nick Jonas (Not a fan of, also don't care) perform live on the show.
Yeah, I know, lots of angst and weep-worthy things, but don't worry. I will have some more happy and giddy feeling next time.
