It'll stop any day now
(any day now, any day now)

Scarlett POV

I don't know what's poking me, but it better stop.

"Mommy, can you wake up?"

I roll my eyes from beneath my closed eyelids. "Five more minutes Rosie," I mumble to my offspring before turning away from where I was being poked.

"But Colin, told me to get you up, so you have to get up!"

I'm going to kill Colin when I see him.

"Baby, please, five more minutes." I groan to an already annoying six-year-old. I love this child to death, but I enjoy my sleep a bit more at this moment. I hear silence from behind me before the shuffling of small feet, and then WHAM! Rose jumps right next to me on the bed, causing the mattress to droop down next to me, waking me up even more.

I open my eyes to see Rose looking back at me with a wide smile.

"Did you think this would get mommy up?" I ask with a smirk before closing my eyes. I hear a sigh come from Rose.

"Please, mommy, get up!" Rose huffs and pulls herself up to her knees before she starts jumping up and down on the bed. "Mommy!" Rose starts raising her voice, and you know what? I'm up now. This child did it. I'm annoyed and awake. I open my eyes and playfully grab a giggling Rose, bringing her down onto the bed.

"Mommy's up! You happy now?" Rose is in the midst of a laughing fit. "Sooooo happy!" "Well, how about now!" I ask as I start to tickle my daughter's side, making her fit of laughter grow louder and harder.

It's not long till my daughter is begging for mercy which I guess I'll give her.

Whatever.

Anyways I'm now, like, actually up and moving to my bathroom while my sweet Rose follows me. "Rose, you don't have to follow me and watch me pee." "I know, but Colin told me to make sure you get up and do all your morning stuff. He didn't say stuff, but I don't remember the word he said."

Rose kindly informs me, so with a smile on my face, I finish peeing before moving on to my morning routine while Rose watches me eagerly.

Once that's all done, I debate changing out of my nightwear, but I can feel Rose's patience is wearing thin, so I get a move on.

Just as we're about to step out the bedroom door, Rose has her arms around my legs. "Happy Mother's day, Mommy!" She beams at me.

Oh shit. It is Mother's Day! Why in the hell am I not being served breakfast in bed? Before I can let these essential questions weigh my mind down, Rose is tugging at my hand to usher us out the door, so we can see what my husband has been cooking up.

And yes, I don't want to kill him now. I just enjoy my sleep. Sue me!

As we reach the bottom of the stairs, Rose is off and racing to the kitchen to inform Colin of the great job she did in getting me up. I smile at my little offspring as she not so discreetly, runs past some red balloons. I laugh as I look around the foyer to see if there is anything I missed.

As I scan the area, my eyes land on a pair of heels left at the front door. Until now, I didn't even remember that those two spent the night. Hell, I don't even think they know they spent the night here. Maybe forcing wine down their throats wasn't the best idea. Is this why Colin wanted me up? So I could wake up the sleeping beauties? I look back up the stairs before calling out to the two awake people in the house.

"Rosie. Colin. I left something upstairs." I couldn't quite make out was Rose said, but it sure made Colin laugh. "Okay, babe!"

I make my way up the stairs and stop at the closed guest bedroom door. I knock a couple of times gently, earning no response. I don't want to barge, but if I'm up, they need to get up! And it's my house! "Okay," I say quietly to myself. "Please don't be naked. Don't be naked."
