Juliana POV
I laid there, my body stuck in it's limp state, still recovering from what Austin and I had just done.
Well, what Austin had just done to me.
My limbs were frozen in place, my entire naked form still exposed to the open air. I listening carefully for any sudden movement from Austin, but he seemed to be trapped in the same exact daze as I. The fireplace crackled before us, the only other sound emanating throughout the large living space.
The clamourous noise came to a sudden stop, leaving us now in a deafening silence. Austin's strong build still hovered above me, our bodies just barely brushing together as he held himself up to avoid crushing me. He said nothing and made no attempt to move, to see who it was that was abrasively striking at the door.
I parted my lips, on the verge of asking him who that could be, just as he leaned down, grazing his soft pillow lips against mine.
"Whoever that was, they can fuck off." He whispered, causing me to furrow my brows, as I wondered why he wasn't bothered to see who it was.
Was he hiding something?
Just as I was about to finally ask him why he didn't do so, I heard the front door harshly burst open. A sudden gasp of panic expelled sharply from my throat, Austin's quick reflex kicking in as his hand immediately yanked my tee shirt down over my naked body. He sprung from the couch, rising to his feet as he stood still beside me. I further tugged down onto the thankfully oversized shirt that he loaned me, turning to sit up straight and face the situation that was about to unfold before me.
My heart hammered in my chest, my stomach beginning to churn as wild thoughts ran endlessly in my head.
This was it. The other shoe had finally dropped. I knew I had been living in a fucking fantasy world. The same man that had crashed into me, coincidentally coming to my rescue, and taking me in to his home to live happily ever after. He wasn't real. This wasn't real, this didn't happen. Especially not to someone like me. I was now convinced this was probably his girlfriend standing before us, catching us red handed in their house. Or what if it was worse than I thought. What if it was his wife.
Oh God what have I done?
He's married. He's definitely married. This is what I had feared this entire time. It was my nightmare come true. My prince charming, this perfect man that I had drummed up in my head, it was all over. Ruined. What made me think that I could possibly find happiness? I had been living in a fucking dream. While in reality, I had allowed a married man to give me the best goddamn pleasure of my life.
I was definitely going to hell.
"Jesus Christ Dre, what the fuck?!" I heard Austin snarl, his tone furious compared to the gentle way he always spoke to me. I had never heard him raise his voice like this, he was usually so calm and easy going. It was extremely out of character for him in the short time that I had known him and I couldn't help but wonder who in the world was this Dre person.
As much as I was concerned to learn who this person was, a feeling of utter relief washed over me as I heard a man's voice with an English accent answer him in a comparable raised tone.
"Well you weren't answering your goddamn phone so what was I suppose to do?"
I thanked the heavens above me that I was facing away from this man when he walked in and it was more than likely that he didn't accidentally see me in my most vulnerable state.
But more than anything, I couldn't have been happier to hear this strangers voice, confirming that I was wrong about my worst fears. I let out a breath, my heart finally returning to its natural steady beat, my stomach no longer in knots as it turned out, I had just jumped to extreme conclusions.
