Cole's POV:
I was walking back to the dressing room with the guys to see Brooke and my phone started ringing. I looked at the caller i.d. Cassidy. I looked at the guys and they stopped. "What's wrong dude?" Dalton asked. I glanced at him. "Cassidy's calling me." was all I said. "Well, are you gunna answer?" Dana asked. I looked at my phone and slowly clicked answer. "Hello?" I answered. "Hey Cole bear!" Cassidy answered. "You okay, man?" Gabe asked. I nodded my head. "Yeah, I'll be there in a minute." I replied before getting back to my phone.
"What's up, Cass?" I asked. "Cole, I'm tired of our break. I miss you. Can we please get back together? I miss us. I miss us always being together and i hate how awkward things are between us now." she said all at once. "Cassidy, I have a girlfriend now." I said. "Yeah, I know, but is she anything like me?" she said. I thought for a second. "No, she's nothing like you. And that's what I love about her." I said. I heard her gasp on the other line and then she spoke in almost a whisper. "Cole, that was really harsh." her voice cracked a little on the last word. I felt horrible because at one point she was my everything. I was just playing along with her and saying we could get back together not meaning it at all when I heard Brooke behind me.
*present*
"Brooke! Where are you?" I yelled. I pulled my phone out of my pocket again and tried calling her. No answer. I hung up and tried Dalton.
"Hey, dude. Madi's got her. They're in the park." he said as soon as he picked up. I hung up and started running. I reached the park and saw them sitting on a park bench. I slowly made my way over there. I heard Brooke crying and it broke my heart.
"Can we talk? Please?" I asked once Brooke noticed me. She took a deep breath and nodded her head slightly. "I'll just leave you two alone." Madi said as she slipped off the bench. I sat down next to Brooke and grabbed her hands.
"Brooke, I swear. I never meant to hurt you. I don't really want to get back together with Cassidy. At all. Ever again. I promise, Brooke. You're the best thing that has ever happened to me and I wouldn't jeopardize losing you." I say all at once.
I see a tear slip down her cheek and wipe it away gently with my thumb. I leave my hand on her face and look into her eyes. "Please, believe me." I whisper. A few more tears slip down her cheeks and she leans into my chest. I wrap my arms around her and feel her nodding her head. "I love you, Brooke." I say as I kiss the top of her head. "I love you, too, Cole." she muffled.
