Cole's POV:

I dialed her number again, even though I was positive she wouldn't answer, but to my surprise she answered.

"Brooke?" I asked. "Yeah, it's me." she said hesistantly. A smile immediately spread across my face. "Sorry, I'm just surprised you answered. I figured you'd just let it go to voicemail again." I said. She sighed. "Yeah, well I actually listened to your last voicemail and I decided I should answer and try to talk things out with you." she said. "You mean it? You really want to talk things out?" I asked. "Yeah, I mean we may be on a break right now or whatever, but it doesn't change the fact I love you, Cole." she replies, almost in a whisper. We talked for a while and worked things out. "So, does this mean we're back together?" I asked. The line was silent for a few moments. "I don't think that's such a good idea. I mean, not yet anyways. I'm still hurt, Cole. Plus, you're touring and won't be here for a few months. I just think it's best we take a break." she said. I felt my heart break a little more. I sighed and felt a tear roll down my cheek. "Yeah, I mean, I guess I see your point. Can we just promise to try this again when I get back?" I ask. "Maybe... But we'll always be friends, even if we're not together anymore." she says.

We hung up and I locked my phone. I laid in bed, content that we'd talked things out. "Knock, knock." Dalton said, looking into my bunk. "Hey." I said with a smile. "You seem happy. Have you talked to her?" he asked with a smirk. I smile a little. "Yes, we've talked." Dalton's face lit up. "OHHH! TELL ME, TELL ME, TELL ME!" he says jumping into my bunk. I laugh and sit up. "We just talked things out." I say, nonchalant. "So is the power couple back together?" he asks. I shake my head. "Nah, she thinks its best we take a break for a while." Dalton nods. "I guess I can see her point. You guys have been through a lot the past few weeks. Maybe it is best to just cool off a bit." he says. I nod. "Yeah, maybe so. I'm just glad we're talking again and we can at least be friends." I say.

Brooke's POV:

Cole and I have talked things out and decided to take a break. I was happy I could talk to him again, but I couldn't really mention Ross and the rest of the family to him. Not yet.

I got a text from Ross almost immediately after I hung up with Cole asking if I wanted to hangout with them today. I sent a text back saying yeah and I would be there in 30 minutes. I got ready and grabbed my bikini in case we decided to swim again, my phone for obvious reasons, and my bag. I decided I would drive there today. I walked downstairs, grabbed my keys, and headaed out the door. I hopped into my car and sped off towards the Lynch's house.

I pulled into their drive way and cut the engine off. I hopped out and walked to the front door. I was about to knock when the door flung open. "Hey!" Ross said smiling. I giggled a little. "Hey!" I said with a weird look. "Sorry, I'm just bored out of my mind and I thought you were walking so I was going to meet you half way, but apparently you decided to drive. Nice car by the way." he said. I smiled. "Thanks! That car is my baby. I love it more than I love food." I laughed. He smiled and gestured toward the door. "Wanna come in?" he asked. I nodded. "Sure, sounds good." I said.

We walked inside and I didn't see anyone else around. "Where are the others?" I asked with a confused look. "Uh, yeah they went to City Walk and I didn't want to go. I thought we could hangout. Just the two of us." he said sheepishly. I was a little surprised. "Oh, I thought you meant all of us could hangout." I said. Ross gave a disappointed look. "So, does that mean you don't wanna hangout?" he asked. I shook my head. "No, no, no. That's not what it means at all. I would totally love to hangout!" I said.

We decided to go to the park. I slung my bag across my body and we wakled out of the house and down the sidewalk towards the park. "So, how long have you and that Cole guy been broken up?" he asked. "About a week now, I guess. We talked this morning... I actually decided to answer his call."  I said, glancing up at him. He looked down at me then back at the sidewalk. We continued walking in silence. He confused me. I couldn't tell what he was thinking and why he was so quiet all of a sudden. We got to the park and I sat down on a swing. I texted my friend back home in Florida. Her name was Rebecca and she was like a sister to me.

We were talking about boy drama when Ross came and sat next to me. I looked over at him and back down at my feet. "What are you thinking about?" I asked quietly. He glanced over at me then back at the ground. "There's this girl I really like, but I don't know how to tell her and I don't want to rush things with her..." he said shyly. I thought for a second and stood up. I walked in front of his swing and he looked up at me. "What?" he asked confused. "Stand up. I mean it! Get up! Now." I said. He hesistated, but stood up and looked down at me. "Okay, I'm up. What?" he asked. I got on my tip toes and lightly kissed his lips. He looked at me in amazement then smiled slightly. "What was that?" he asked. "Look, you're not very good at this whole secret thing. As soon as I said something about talking to Cole, you shut down completely. I like you too, but I just don't think I should get into a relationship again. Not just yet. Cole and I have only been apart for a week and I'm still confused on what's gunna happen between us." I said all at once before looking back up at him. He was still smiling. "Did you hear anything I just said or are you like frozen?" I ask. He chuckled. "I heard every word of it. Especially the part when you said you like me too." he said, winking at me. My cheeks flushed and I rolled my eyes. I grabbed my things and started walking back to his house.

We walked into his house, holding hands, and found everyone else home already. "Oh la la. Does Rossy have a girlyfriend?" Rocky cooed from the living room. Ross released my hand. "No, we're not dating. Chill, dude." he said. Rydel grabbed my arm and dragged my upstairs, unnoticed by the guys. "Do you like my brother?" she whisper-yelled. I laughed. "Yeah, I think your brother is cute. But I've already told him we can't date. Not yet. Things are still confusing with Cole and I don't want to ruin mine and Cole's friendship because he's my bestfriend. We've gone through alot, but I still love him." I said.
