You followed the intern, Gyro Gearloose, to the location of the lab. You were surprised to how close you actually were and was kicking yourself mentally for not realizing it. The laboratory was a building, a big one. And very secure. Gyro put in the lock code to open the doors. He stepped to the side to let you in first before following behind you.

You looked around, your bags in hand, and your eyes filled with amazement. You finally were in a lab, to start your own work, and to create inventions that could help the world. Gyro noticed the wonder in your eyes and smiled. "Your THAT excited over this?" He smirked. You nodded excitedly. "I can finally create my work into reality, and show the world the beauty of science!" You exclaimed. Gyro smiled at this. He was flattered to have someone have the same feelings for science as much as he does.

You continued to look around till you were stopped in your tracks by a shout. "INTERN..!" This made Gyro yelp and jump slightly as he clutched onto his clipboard that he was holding. "Is that?" "Yes. It's the Dr., don't freak out too much. He may seem scary on the outside but I can assure you, he's a really friendly-" "Intern." The Dr. was directly in Gyro's face which made Gyro screech in response as he held his clipboard as a sheild. You were also wondering where the heck he came from.

"Why haven't you told me that the new intern was here?" He said in the serious tone. Gyro straightend his small glass and got himself back together. "W-well Dr. Akita, we just ran into each other right before we were about to arrive and-" "I don't need to hear it." Dr. Akita walked up to you and extended a hand. "Ms. Y/n I assume? I am Dr. Akita." He sneered. You nervously shook his hand. "I'm looking forward to working for you." She replied. "Actually, since I have two interns now, I'll just make you two partners. You both seem to be getting along just fine." Akita said as he started to walk off. The both of you were surprised, but in a happy way. "Have fun." He sneered as the door automatically shut behind him.

"We'll, I guess we really WILL be working with each other." You said. "Yeah I guess so." He smiled. You both decided to go straight to work. You already had your ideas of inventions, but you wanted to make sure it was PERFECTLY planned out. You tried your best not to fail the inventions, yet alone making them turn evil. Throughout your childhood and back, you created inventions, but all of them were failures due to mechanical difficulties.

You began to plan out the invention as you first started to take notes. You had an invention that you have always wanted to do, but the building was risky. This invention however could be possible to protect the world, or destroy if not done correctly.

Gyro noticed your note taking as he also wrote some stuff on his notepad. "Are you already starting your first invention?" He asked. You nodded. You sketched out the project based on the notes you have taken and showed part of it to him. "A watch?" He asked. "Sorta, this watch will be the savior of the world. But it will be tough to make." "Well I'll be here for help if you need any. I'll be the research for your hypothesis." You smiled. "Aw. What's with the dorky nerd puns." "Just a little science humor." You chuckled.

"Actually, I'm also working on a project. It will actually be done pretty soon." Gyro grabbed an tablet which seemed to show a model. He shared his screen with you as you saw the model of a boy. Structures of a young boy with the robot capabilities. "It's actually my first big project, I'm excited for this one. I call it, 'Project: 2-BO'. Capabilities of a boy and a robot." "That's impressive Gyro. He also looks adorable." "Little fun fact, I was actually gathering the remaining materials I needed left to finish the project. That was by the time I bumped into you." "How convenient." He shrugged. "Guess that means you'll be able to see my greatest invention in front row seats." "Can't wait to meet him."

~Timeskip~

Gyro was instructed to show you to your room. He led the way as you followed behind him. "Here we are." He said. "Thanks buddy." You said as you put your bags down. Gyro nodded. "I'll see you tomorrow new partner, and hopefully my project will be finished by that time." "Please don't overload yourself. You can't focus if your tired. And it's bad for you. Welp, Good night Gyro." You said as you closed the door. "Night Y/n."

Gyro started to walk to the desk. He smiled to himself. This was probably his first interaction with someone who wasn't his boss or family. He was happy to have a partner, especially how kind you were to him. You were one of a kind in his opinion. He quietly hummed to himself, with the thought of you both being potential friends. But he couldn't tell if it was work partners or friends. You both did just met after all.

You plopped yourself on the bed as you texted your granny of the events that occurred. You knew she was going to struggle with answering due to the fact she's not used to cellular devices. You texted Donald to make sure that Ms. Beakly was getting the texts.

In your opinion, for the first day, this was a great start. You've already made a new friend (if he considered you such), you started your invention, and now you'll sightsee your partner's invention. Maybe you could ask some questions, he does seem like a genius, superior intellect. You turned off your lamp and shut your eyes to sleep. Fate will determine what will happen the next day.
