It Happens

Y/n POV:

Okay, first stop. The Gears and Screws shop. In need to find the piece that Gyro was talking about. I walked at an fast pace, probably because I was distracted, thinking about the excitement of 2B0 and how my invention from childhood was turning out. 2B0 was adorable, I know I said that mutiple times in my brain, but it's true. Gyro should be proud, he did an excellent job. 2B was very much a real boy.

I made it to the shop, and went inside. It was small, like the car stores you would see back in Duckberg. Man, I miss that place. I'll be sure to call my family after this, maybe even introduce Gyro to them.

I smiled at that thought as I looked around the shop. It was kinda hard to find the stuff I needed, especially that my invention was going to be a big one. Probably a rare finding. I gave up and decided to ask the people up front about it.

"Excuse me, do you guys have any transmission vitals?" The man upfront looked like a teenager, he didn't seemed like he understood me. Right we're in Japan, not everyone speaks English. I saw him go in the back and grab another person to take care of me. "Hello miss, what can we help you with?" He asked me. "Oh, I'm looking for transmission vitals." "Transmission vitals? What are you making..a destructo ray?" I gave an awkward smile. "Let's hope not." I muttered. "Sorry, but I'm afraid prices are extremely high on that product." "How much?" "Around 250$." Makes sense. I sighed as I grabbed my card. "Oh we don't accept cards here, you'll have to transfer your money into Yen." I sighed heavily. "Alright, could you hold onto that? I'll be back." He nodded and placed it under the counter.

I groaned in annoyance. Great start. I pulled out my phone and pulled up the map to find the bank. It wasn't that far, like a 10 minute walk. I made my way to the bank, in hopes of getting that piece of gear.

Once I got there, I went inside to the front desk. Unfortunately, there was a very long line. Can this get any worse?

About an hour later..I finally made it to the front desk. "Hey, could you transfer my money to Yen please?" The lady nodded and took my card. I scrolled through photos on my phone. Of my family's adventures and everything. I wonder where there going to go next.

I then noticed in my messages, 3 unknown messages from last night. I went to see who it was, which was Gyro? He texted me how he got my number, which was from Dr. Akita and another text today of his location. I really got to stop putting my phone on mute. I made sure I unmuted this time and  saw the lady bring back my card with a pouch full of Yen. "Have a great day." I thanked her and made my way back to the shop.

After grabbing the stuff I needed, I noticed how late it was getting, and how also hungry I was getting. Maybe I should stop by somewhere to get dinner. I looked up restaurants that were near me, and, oh, lucky me. Restaurant right in front of my face.

It was a sushi joint, hopefully not too expensive since I spent half my allowance on a stupid vital. I sighed and went inside to order.

I was seated outside, and by holy it was a gorgeous view. You can literally see the center of the city, but at a high place. I took to a picture of the view and sat down. The waiter gave me some tea and asked me if I was ready to order. "Yes, I'll have the Salmon Nigiri please." The waiter nodded and walked off. I grabbed my phone and decided to use this time to tell everyone my adventure.

I decided to do a Factime call, easier to get everyone in there. I called Granny, since she's the one that I talked too the most, hopefully she doesn't freak out about me having friends, especially with a guy-

She picked up almost immediately. "Y/n! At first I thought you weren't ever going to call me again." She smiled. "Now Why would you think that?" "Just a thought, I see your outside of the laboratory." "Yes, eating some food. Tokyo is great!" "How's that new job?" "It's great! I'm an intern under Dr. Akita and I have a lab partner." "A lab partner?" "Yes..um..his name is..Gyro. Gyro Gearloose."

"A boy?!" "A BOYFRIEND?!" Dells appeared in the screen next to Granny. "DID YOU SAY A GUY?!" Said Donald from Granny's other side. Wait, I have so many questions and my face also turned red from embarrassment. "Della, Donald, we just met." "TWO NERD BESTIES. THIS IS THE BEST DAY OF MY LIFE." Della said pumping her fists in the air. "How much do you know this, Gyro?!" Said Donald, being overprotective.

"You two settle down!" She said pulling their faces away from the camera. "This man is your partner, as in lab partner right?" "Yes Granny. I just said that." She shrugged. "Be careful Y/n." "Yes. I know Granny." I smiled and rolled my eyes.

"Changing the subject, I really do miss you guys. And I hope to see you soon." I said. "We miss you too Y/n." Said Donald.

That was the last time I heard that from them. Till it happened. I heard an explosion in the distance. I jumped and heard people screaming for their lives. I looked to the distance and saw fire at one of the buildings. "Y/n?! What's going on over there?! Are you alright?!" I heard Granny say over the phone. "Y-yeah! Everything's perfect." I dragged the camera away so they wouldn't see. "I have to let you guys go." "But Y/n!" "Trust me, I'm alright!" I said I love you too them and immediately hanged up. What is going on? I have to find out.

I ran out of the restaurant, making sure everything was still with me. I placed the vital in my bag for safe keeping. I went closer to the incident, not just one..mutiple! There were explosions all over the place! That's when I saw it. I saw something fly into the air, the cause of the explosions..I squinted my eyes to make it out, and it was..2B0?!

I ran away to a safe place in an alley. Why was 2B0 acting up like this?! Was it a malfunction? I had so many questions, but they were cut out to a ringing. My phone buzzing. I pulled it out to see that Gyro was calling me, I almost immediately answered.

"Gyro?!" "Y/n!" "Gyro, what is going on?! Is that 2B0?!" "Y/n! Listen to me, you have to get out of here! They're looking for you." "What do you mean? Who's they?!" "Dr. Akita is missing! They are trying to find other scientists who know about 2B0's history! Hurry, you have to- he was cut off by a slam.

I was shocked. I didn't know what to do. So much for a first day of work. My most question was, why 2B0? He was never like this..it has to be a malfunction. I needed to find Gyro. To see if he was alright.

I ran out of the alley. People screamed from behind me, taking for cover. I saw 2B0 destroying buildings. Maybe I could help him. Maybe I could somehow reach to his system. Granny taught me fighting skills of course, with her being an agent and what not.

I yelled out to 2B0, hopefully this can distract him from the destruction. "2B! It's me Dr. Y/n!" He stopped what he was doing and turned his gaze on me. There was no sign of a boy, just a robot. An evil robot. He then flew to me, but had his fist out, ready to strike a blow. Alright, maybe calling him wasn't the best idea. "Wait! Please remember!"

It was going to fast, I closed my eyes and covered myself, ready for the strike that was about to happen. Only, it didn't. In fact, I opened my eyes and saw a police woman punch 2B0, which created an effective impact, making the small robot boy black out.

I was shocked on what I just saw. I was shocked with everything. The woman then turned to me. "Y/n. You are to come with me." She then placed me in handcuffs. I was speechless till I snapped back to reality. "What is going on?!" "You will find out in the trial."

She then put me in the cop car, and drove off to where I'm assuming, the courthouse.
