...*Several days after the Shadow War*
Y/n POV:
Tis was another mysterious day, full of traps of ill will, sights to behold, danger awakening...The stone walls in front of me, open, to reveal to what was before us. My family, the famous Scrooge McDuck, my younger sister Webby, and my nephews, Huey, Dewey, and Louie. We were on one of our adventures, seeking treasure and experience.
Ever since I got here, it didn't take long for me to be included in the family. My goal of continuing my science dreams, has also turned into an adventure. My boss, also my old friend, Gyro Gearloose, is the one that helps me achieve these dreams...in his own way of course. My coworkers, Fenton Crackshell, Manny, and Lil Bulb, also are great to work with.
Now that everyone has been introduced, let us continue our story.
We walk toward what lays in front of us, in the dark hallway. I was walking next to Scrooge, I am the brawn of the group, to protect my nephews and little sister. The kids were behind the both of us, since of course, it's safer that way.
Scrooge and I look at the drop on the ground, we do NOT want to find out what happens if we fall- my thoughts were interrupted when I felt a nudge from behind me, so did Scrooge. We both lost balance as we screeched when we looked at the drop. We both tripped and grabbed on to the ledge, Scrooge dropped the torch in his hand while we were clinging on to dear life.
The kids looked down at us, worriedly. We both frowned at them. The kids helped us up, I smiled in thanks. Apparently, Louie was the one who caused the collision. We frowned at him as he chuckled nervously in response.
Now we're stuck. How were we going to get up now? We all then heard a whistle from behind us, seeing that Dewey was the one who made it. Webby gasped in excitement as they both started to sing their tune together. Don't know where they got that one from.
They both managed to jump over the gap and hit the stone wall button to give us a bridge. Louie was about to walk, but I stopped him as soon I saw the holes in the ground. Arrows then popped out of them, causing Louie to yelp in response.
Scrooge then turned to Huey. "Laddie?" "Step, turn, step, turn, and dodge, and step." We nodded in understandment and did the moves we were told. We remained unscathed. Louie looked in concernment, as he didn't knew a thing he was doing. "Don't worry Louie, you got this." I said in motivation. "Oh boy..okay." He started to step, but panic reached to him as he made a run for it. He fell to the floor with arrows in his hoodie. I gasped and went to check on him.
"Are you alright Louie?!" "Yeah. Yeah. Definitely." I got the arrows out of him, and luckily, there were no wounds. We continued our journey till we finally saw it. We walked up to the golden trophy beyond us. Scrooge went up to it and cracked his neck. He hovered his fingers over it, nervously...
"Just grab it already!" Exclaimed Louie, making Scrooge jump at the outburst. "The Idol of Cibola is not a trinket to be unceremoniously swindled. Legend had it-." "Bababababh. Can we just wrap up the "Whoa!", and get to the "Wait, What?" Already?" Scrooge looked at him confused and shrugged.
"Whoa! Some cool hidden city or treasure or whatever! Wait, what? That cool thing is dangerous or cursed or guarded by centaurs? Aah! Louie almost dies! Can we please move it along? That's how it goes!" I think he's lost it. "He's kinda got a point." I stated. "Easy lad and lass, adventure is an unpredictable paramour. You've got to judge every angle! No two perilous scenarios are alike!"
Right when he said that, Dewey went up to the artifact and wowed. That's one. Dewey then went to grab the artifact which in response, set off a trap. "Wait, what?" That's two. "Well, that doesn't mean-." Oh no, don't tell me.
