When a bat uses echo location, it always can tell where it is and where it is going. Though it squeaking isn't always the friendliest sound to the ears. What would you do if that noise became more dangerous? Digimon Ghost Game! Night of the Screeching Bat!
Mei had been researching the mist that she had collected from Sunarizamon a week ago. The black like mist was composed of data of dark purple numeral digits. She was not a compute expert like a certain detective Akashiro, but she had a hunch that this was not made from the digital world. A part of her wanted to tell the others. The other part wanted her to keep it a secret till she could learn more about the mist itself. Not even Shiramon knew and she practically trusted Mei with everything.
Sad to see that the feeling was not mutual.
Shiramon was sleeping on the bed with a few of her adopted baby digimon sleeping by her. Jyarimon was snuggled in her arms, Popomon was curled up in her tail, and three others curled up to her chest. Much like a mother dog and her pups.
Mei could only smile at the scene. She decided if she couldn't find something in a few days, she would contact Akashiro for their aid.
They probably tease her for it too. The great information gatherer and blackmailer needed a detective's help? Oh how they never let her live it down. They would have it recorded, playing it on an endless loop for their own trophy.
Mei would do her best to assure that would not happen.
Considering the late hour, Mei decided to call it a night and go to bed. Maybe sleep would help clear her head to get the answers she so desperately seeks.
While she focused on her research project, Ruli and Angoramon would have their own encounter with a problem they were struggling with.
After hanging out with Aoi and Mika at their usual cafe, Ruli spend some time browsing the internet for places to visit. She also kept her eyes on the lookout for any unusual cases which could involve a digimon. Beside her, Angoramon was reading yet another book from the Sun Novelist book series. He quietly enjoyed the book about a knight who leaves their home due to being falsely accused of a crime. He was at the chapter where the corrupted king confess his lie to the knight's brother before imprisoning him for a fabricated crime.
Just as he was at the best part of his book, his ears picked up on a strange noise. A familiar one.
"AHHHHHHHHHHH! STOP!! IT HURTS!! STOP!!" Ruli held her ears in pain.
"Ruli!!" Angoramon rushed to her side to check to see what was wrong with his dear partner.
However Ruli did not respond. Her face filled with panic. She could see Angoramon lip move, however she could hear no sound come from them. Just silence. She tried to tell him that the noise had hurt her ears. Like she had several megaphones go off in her ears at close range. She could feel her mouth moving, though she could not hear her own voice. Causing only more worry and panic to drain the color from her face.
"Ruli.....are you okay?" Angoramon mouth moved again
Ruli could not hear a single word. She did know how to read lips a bit, so she could understand that he wanted her to confirm whether or not that she was in good health. All she could response with was a shake for no.
Angoramon frowned at this. His hearing was more keen than the average human. Then why was only Ruli effected by it? Clearly that noise did not effect digimon. Strange. Perhaps Mummymon could check up on her.
Little did he know that this was just the beginning.
The next morning, Angoramon woke up to find Ruli still not able to hear his voice. She looked highly upset by this. What if this was permanent? Would she forever be deaf? No, she must not lose hope. Mummymon would check her and tell her it will all be okay. This is not like her to be all sad and depressed.
