The digimon continued to take their human partners down to the basement cellar. No words were exchanged. The humans hung their heads low as if they were ashame of their mistakes.

Just before the digimon reached the cell, Angoramon listened in for any enemies that could be listening. Once he heard none. He smiled.

"The coast is clear" He whisper to his fellow digimon friends.

The humans were placed into the cellar. Jellymon made a signal using static electricity as morse code. Then the team sneak into the room from above the ceiling secret entrance. The humans in the cellar were actually Betsumon.

Mei called in a favor from Clockmon to use the Betsumon as decoys while they used the secret entrance way. From how Clyde reacted, it seems he could not tell the Betsumon apart from the real heroes.

This helped reveal that Clyde can only shatter or manipulate minds, not read or control them.

"Good thinking Mei"Kiyo praised . "How did you know that this was a trap?"

"The file stated that Clyde could manipulate those who come in contact with him. There for if we had faced him head on then we would be doomed to fail. That's why I developed that decoy stragety. The mental protection codes DIM cards I had our detective send us, came in handy. They did seem a bit confused why I requested them. Though it seems like they protected our digimon from his power. Though they do have a limit. Clyde is childish but Eaglemon isn't. Clyde is too naive and seems to only want friends. Eaglemon most likely makes Clyde shatter minds to those that seem a threat to him. A protective aura feel came to him.

Whatever Clyde went through must have made Eaglemon greatly distrust anyone who could hurt him" Ruli was shocked at how easily  understand their enemy.

"That's amazing MeiMei!" Ruli couldn't stop being amazed at Mei abilities. Like she could be her senpai if only she allowed it.

"Hiro...my ears hurts" Gammamon couldn't take the hearing of the protection given by the Mental Block provided by the DIM cards. It has a side effect to cause ear irritation.

"I know, but you can't take it off till we stop Clyde" Hiro reassured, patting his head to ease the pain a bit.

"Okay..." Gammamon would have to endure it a bit longer.

They needed to find Clyde. Though it would prove to  a bit difficult.

Clyde somehow learned about Mei fear of stuffed animals. There was a strong possibly that he would use their fears against them. To be honest, even in the vents Mei nearly passed out .

Those button eyes just staring into her soul. Trying to pull it out with their fingerless nubs for hands. How their stitches for mouths were just smiling maliciously at her. Just waiting for her to lower her guard so she can strike. Why those things still roam this earth was beyond her brilliant mind?

Thank goodness that one of the Betsumon also had pediophobia. Otherwise the plan WOULD have failed.

"After this, I owe Clockmon a huge favor" Mei startedto lead them to the room that seem most likely Clyde room.

"What about our detective friend? It was because of their DIM cards that Gammamon and the others are safe" Hiro asked.

"Them doing that was a favor for me. Consider it pay back for all I assisted them with for those cases" Mei always tended to collect and cash in favors when she needed one.
