Sparring with a friend who loves to fight is a way to see one's strength and result if training. To only understand one another with their fists. It is often used to gain one's respect as well. Though what if a friend you know was participating in matches that gravely hurt their opponent? Would you stop them or would you only become their next victim? Digimon Ghost Game! Match to the Death!

Mei wasted no time getting back to trying to solve the "Dark Mist". From what Hiro had told her of the events st the hospital, the mystery behind it had more then meets the eye. The mist greatly influenced digimon behavior by causing rage. Another factor was the digimon had somerhing to fight for like a wish, dream, or even justa simple desire. It could be a way for the mist to enter their body. Though then that would mean that Koi was bringing in random digimon into this. That was the confusing part. He had already grabbed their attention as one grabs the bull by the horns. He obviously had a reason to show them Takashi, the girl in the photo, and now Zilda. Though ther was little clues to lean on.

What were the four of them involved in? Could they have been involved with digimon too at some point? That would explain Skullmeramon and Aruraumon. Though what was their involvement?
Mei had gotten a call from her detective friend last night.
During the conversation, they claimed the mother who called in Brazil had asked them to look into her daughter's strange death in Japan. According to her, her daughter had a condition that could only be treated by surgery. It had costed the family grest for to send their daughter there and pay for surgery. The fiancially situation they live in now only proved that.

Though when a child dies, doesn't the body or remains such as ashes get sent to the parents? The mother recieved niether which made her suspicious. She wanted to know what truly happened at that hospital. The true result for her daughter to die in a hospital. Especially when the family had been assured that there was a zero percent chance of death.

What was stranger was the lack of cause. The only cause of death was something went wrong during the surgery. The hospital had hid something about the girl. If the girl was Zilda then it would make some connection. However it would tske time for the picture that Mei send of Zilda to reach Brazil.

Though if you ask the mother, "We may have found your daughter. Though she is still a young girl that hasn't aged and may be a spirit or something" would be hard to believe. The mother of the girl would be enraged. She assume that the detective was just toying with her heart. Not like digimon were believable either.

Might slap them from making up the supposed nonsense.

The mist itself was still being studied. Normal equipment only saw it as plain old mist. Which mean it had properties of the digital world or something else data related. It would take longer to investigate. Something told them that time was limited too. The detective never said why though. Just a hunch.

For the first time in her information gathering. Mei may have hit a dead end. She needed clues or another case to get more intel. The victims are random. The cases around them even rarer. It wasn't gonna be like the next case she would pick would be a sure connection to it either.

Koi was picking his targets well. Whether Skullmeramon worked for him was still unclear. The ultimate level digimon only obey the boy. It could just mean that they knew each other. It did not necessarily meant that the digimon was his partner. Still no solid information that would say otherwise.
Mei grew both frustrated and exchausted. Hiro would have scolded her for working more on this when she should be resting.

He was just as curious as she was. Koi had known his name. He had either watched them or Hokuto sent him to them. It wasn't like he send trouble his son's way before. He send the Antylamon after all. That was one theory that could explain it. However Koi seemed to know all of them well. Which met he knew of them either from observing them from the shadowd, or by looking into them recently.
