#6 Mosquitos are the deadliest animals in the world?!

Most people's biggest fear of animals, or any insects, are most likely to be; tigers, sharks, bears, cockroaches, spiders and even dogs! Personally I think it's ridiculous to be scared of dogs but I guess everyone has their own opinions. Nevertheless, that isn't the only thing you need to fear. Mosquitoes are known to be the deadliest insects in history. But just like you, I also wondered why they are so deadly and what harm can a fly that likes blood do? Well according to a-z-animals.com also known as the World Health Organization, they state that mosquitoes aren't only THE deadliest but are killing an estimated 750,000 to 1 million humans every single year. These humans have died because of a series of infections; malaria, dengue fever and yellow fever. Each causing a serious infection that can lead to certain types of situations and death is one of them. Why do mosquitoes bite? What's the reason for the amount of blood they need and what is it used for? Mosquitoes bite and suck blood for reproduction. Though male mosquitoes only eat flower nectar, as female mosquitoes eat both flower nectar and blood. The females need the protein in blood to develop eggs and "breed". Mosquitoes carry viruses, bacteria, parasites, and more, which they can easily transfer to humans through their bites. With every mosquito bite you get, there's a risk of serious infection. So, if you ever get a mozzie bite, just know it's the females, not the males! In the United States, people can also get sick from less common viruses spread by mosquitoes, like Eastern equine encephalitis or St. Louis encephalitis. From 2004 to 2018, most US cases of dengue, chikungunya, and Zika were reported in US territories. So if your fear is sharks, dogs, tigers or even bears just know mosquitos are deadlier.
