Thoughts: Wow 5 chapters in and there's already a murder. I don't like how it goes back and forth between years every chapter. I'm not very far into this book yet but it's not my favorite so far. I love that Pa is trying to have a relationship with Kya. It was so sweet when he called her hon. I feel bad for Kya. No one that young should have to completely care for their self. I'm 100 pages into this book and i'm just not into it. It's not grabbing me like other books i've read. This book isn't generating that many thoughts for me. I finished the first part of the book and i'm still not very interested in this book. It's disappointing because I was pretty excited to read it. I have 205 pages left of this book and i'm struggling. I'm gonna try my best to finish it though. I like that Chase doesn't try to force himself on Kya. I hate Chase now. He is such a dick. I'm 216 pages into this book and i'm so ready to be done with it. I have 152 pages left. I love that Jumpin' put Kya's book in the window of his store. That's the cutest thing ever. I don't understand why the sheriff wants to pin the murder on Kya so bad. It's almost like he's trying to find any small thing that says she did it. I love chapter 33 so much. It's definitely my favorite so far. I can't wait to find out who actually killed Chase Andrews. I don't think Kya did it. I think it's so cute that the restaurants that bring food during the trial bring food for the cat that lives in the courthouse too. Fuck Chase Andrews. Chapter 39 makes me hate him so much more than I already did. I think it's so sweet that Jumpin' cares so much for Kya. I love their friendship. Wow I was not expecting that ending.

This book was not what I was expecting. It wasn't the page turner I was hoping for. It wasn't my favorite but it was still a decent book.
