Part 2, the first part is titled Don't Get Caught so read that first...or don't.
Also, don't question the Karma for lining up with exactly what they faked. This is fanfiction land and I can do whatever I want!

📍Michael's Gaff
"We're sorry!"
"Ah! No talking, we don't want to hear it." Liz told the boys who were all sat down on a sofa together with their heads hanging in shame.
The mother's had joined together at Karen's House to give their sons a stern talking too.
"You boys have had quite the day off." Anne-Marie said with her arms folded, Ashton bit his lip and avoided all eye contact, he felt so ashamed.
"You lied to us all, skipped school and attended an audition without our permission!" Karen stated.
"We know." Michael said meekly.
"Did you seriously think you would get away with it?" Joy asked the boys who just stayed silent.
"How did you find out?" Calum asked them all out of curiosity.
"I noticed Ashton wasn't in class which was a coincidence seeing as Luke was 'sick' too." Liz told them, she had eyes everywhere, including the classroom.
"So Liz texted me on our group chat to send in well wishes, but it turns out none of you guys were at school today which was suspicious." Anne-Marie continued.
"Then I checked Facebook and you guys were tagged in a post by the coffee shop promoting you guys as their new music act!" Karen concluded in a rather angry tone, volume raised and face going red.
Luke was crying...Calum was crying...Michael was weeping...Ashton's bottom lip was quivering.
"Mali-Koa wasn't convinced that you were actually sick, Cal. So I had my doubts but I trusted you to tell me the truth!" Joy said in a very disappointed tone, a whimper escaped Calum's lips as he felt so terrible for upsetting his mum.
"And Lukey, you've never done anything like this before. Never! I expect better from you." Liz said, getting really heavy and deep in record time.
Snot ran down Luke's face as well as tears, that's how sad he was!
"M-Mum?" Michael squeaked out.
"Don't! I don't want you excuses, Michael. I understand that I let you stay home from school, on the basis of your mental health, but making your friends lie to their parents and breaking the truancy law!" Karen said getting annoyed. Michael shut up.
"Where was your maturity, Ashton? Faking sick, that was so childish of you, especially when you have exams soon! You need to get your education." Anne-Marie scolded Ashton.
That one hurt, really hurt.
Ashton shed a couple tears which he hadn't done in front of his friends yet, his vulnerability was on full display and he felt so guilty.
After the grilling came the punishment:
- All the boys were grounded for a month
- They had to give up their gig at the coffee shop
- Request extra homework for the week to make up for what they missed in class (Liz's idea, she sent Ashton home with booklets of equations)"That's fair." Calum sniffled.
"We deserve it." Michael squeaked shyly.
"Uh-huh." Luke agreed.
Poor Ashton was still crying but nodded along.
Everyone wanted to forget this day never existed!
