I kept on checking the time as I sat at my desk and chair in my room, it was 11:58 pm, two more minutes before the baddest bitch alive birthday. I counted to sixty once more it was now 11:59 pm, I'm so nervous, I'm finna turn 22.
The alarm on my phone went off, it wasn't an alarm, but a reminder instead, Thursday December 1, 12:00 am - Jaidah's birthday, it read.

I opened Instagram on my phone and recorded my self saying 'it's a bad bitch's birthday' then posted on my story.
My phone started to ring and it was my grandma.
"Yes, gramma."
"Happy birthday mi grand baby, may god continue to uplift you and poor his blessings onto you, grandma love you," she spoke.
"Thanks gramma, love you too, a how yuh not sleeping?" I said.

When I woke up it was 6 am, I took a shower and did all my hygiene stuff then put on a robe that says it's my birthday. I have a date with Ashanti at 10, we're going for brunch, so in the mean time I took up my phone to reply to some messages.
When I took my phone off do not disturb, notifications just started to come in from all different apps so I just left them to come in, while I went to make some tea.
Growing with my grandma caused that.
I put my tetley tea bag in a mug then add sugar and milk, then when the water finish boiling I just poured it in the mug, stirred it and walked back to my room. I placed the mug on the bedside table, mi nuh waah bun up myself pan my birthday.
I opened whatsapp first, it's not a lot of people that has my number. I had messages from Shelly, My mom, two YouTubers that go to my college, my little sister, some of my other cousins and an unknown number. I replied to all of them saying thanks for the birthday wishes.
I went to Instagram next, there was a lot of messages from Jaiden, Ashanti, Malique, Shelly, some other social media influencers, classmates and my supporters.
